I was going to post the same question. I have about 4 or 5 under each of my arms, and I detest them! My doctor does a procedure that involves tying them and waiting for them to fall off, but if they are just going to come back anyway, I am kind of wondering why bother? Plus it's $10.00 per tag!

I had a really small one once that I just pinched off with my fingernails. I have a large one now though that I'm too scared to cut off myself. I'd like to hear if anyone has done it. I'm mad at my dr because he was supposed to tie it off while I was in surgery a couple weeks ago but I guess he forgot.

I use to have one under my arm on ym armpit(nasty) & I did everything I could it make it go away & cut it & now its gone but after I did that
one grew in a differen't place which I thought was weird.
I don't know if I'm going to do anything with this one becasue I dont want
to have it go away & grew a new one in another place so I haven't done anything with it yet.
Did one grow in a differen't place after when u pinched it the skin tag that u had off??Like a few days or a week later???

I have several growing around my neck. I believe my dermatologist will burn them off for me just like he does for my moles.

Ladies ladies ...what are you guys doing?

There is an easy solution.....Your internal medicine doctor or any doctor can freeze it or burn it without scarring. If you know a laser place, they can also do it.

I had several and it's been 5 years, they never came back.

oooh yeah. I've had them since I was a kid. I've had then froze off...and cut off. I get them under my arms BAD. But i'm told its from a combo of the PCOS and having native american blood. heh. They have come back no matter what I do. But they take a long time to come back and there are less each time...so i think the removal is worth it. My insurance paid for mine to be removed becuase it was causing irritation. I won't say it doesnt hurt afterwards to have them cut off, because it does. But its still worth it to me

I have had them cut off by the doctor but she laughed at me and told me I can cut them off myself at home. So that is what I do now and none of the ones I cut off have come back....

Yes. It's a basic procedure. Almost all insurances cover this... Just make an appointment for removal of skin tags. Don't let them cut it...they will come back.
Have them burn or freeze it...

Also don't touch the area...after the procedure.

I've had a couple of skin tags and I just used a pair of small sharp sewing scissors that I'd cleaned with alcohol to cut them off. I don't have any scars and they haven't come back.

It wasn't any worse than when you prick your finger to test your blood sugar but I know of people who couldn't even do that so if that sort of thing bothers you then it's probably best to have a doctor do it.

I had a pretty large one on my neck that was disgusting and it was very bothersome. I was very self conscience of it also. I went to the doc and he burned it off..no muss, no fuss. I didn't even require stitches. He just burned it off and that was that. Left a very small barely noticeable red spot and it thankfully has not grown back. I have one under my arm that bug's me like crazy, and I have been contemplating cutting it off, but I am scared that I will bleed too bad.
