Default Skincare Help Needed!!

What do you ladies use for skincare (cleanser, foundation, etc?). Lately, it seems like whatever I use messes up my skin. I can't wear makeup anymore - if I do, it makes the skin on my nose look like its peeling and flaking, if I don't, my skin is all splotchy looking and makes me look like I'm dying.

Any advice is much appreciated!

I use neutrogena acne cleansing wash on my face (and back and chest since I have acne there too), and clinique makeup products. If you look under the forum for acne, there are lots of threads on this subject.

I use bare minerals/bare escentuals makeup, and I just ordered a bunch of skin care stuff for oily to normal skin from Paula's choice, (free shipping memorial day weekend) but I've never tried the brand yet.. it looks good, we'll see (www.cosmeticscop.com).

I have to use a combo of gylcolic and salicylic acids....I got the gyl from SkinRx.com and I got the salicylic wash from WalMart--it's the L'oreal brand. In the mornings, I will use the gylcolic wash with salicylic medicated apricot face scrub and use the L'oreal stuff at night to wash off my makeup.

SkinRx has some great stuff....I bought their glycolic peel and have great results.

Well, I went on metformin, which I believe really helped with my acne, but I also switched to mary kay's 3 in 1 clenser and it has worked wonders. I had a problem with a major acne breakout when I first started using it, but for me anytime I change a product I do that.
I have used just about every skin care product under the sun, I tried clinque for two years and my skin was always flaky and just grose, and I have tried just about every product for acne that you can buy over the counter. This one seems to be the only one that works for me. My skin has never been this clear since I was 12 lol, but again, I couldn't tell you for sure if it was the medications or the clenser.

i used to have really awful skin, but i seemed to have hit on a really good combo that has totally cleared up my skin (along with Yasmin):

cetaphil for normal / oily (the foamy stuff, not the lotiony stuff)
cetaphil moisturizer
paula's choice 2% BHA solution
paula's choice 8% AHA soultion (use this to get rid of redness and when I get flakey)

my face has never looked better. over all, this stuff is all pretty cheap. i find that the more money i spent on stuff for my skin the worse it looked.
