My job concerns Sleep Apnea so I can only answer questions but I hope things work out for you. Look up Respiratory Care for info on Sleep apnea. or just do a search on yahoo. Good Luck.

Fortunately, I sleep like a baby. Here's an article from WebMD:

My ex has sleep apnea. His snoring used to drive me up the wall! I would sleep on the couch VERY often. Finally I made him go to the doctor, and they did a series of tests. He ended up getting a C-Pap machine, a mask he wears at night while sleeping. Did him a world of good! He felt so much better during the day because he was getting more sleep at night, and it was a RESTFUL sleep. If you have any questions, PM me or email me and I'll see if I can answer them for you.

I don't get it-my inbox is EMPTY, yet nobody can PM me. I got like three or four messages yesterday saying my inbox was FULL, but it's NOT!!! Anyway, Trace, email me, and in the meantime, hang in there.

Hi TennGirl!

Even if your inbox is empty, you still have to empty the "sent messages" folder, and the "message tracking" folder. They are located on the right hand side, in the pull-down menu that usually says inbox...then you just select and delete! I hope this helps!

Default Sleep Apnea

I was diagnosed last year with sleep apnea.
I never snored but was always tired! Lots of falling asleep while driving.

I was given a C-pap machine and when I use it.....it works great!
However, I feel bad about sleeping with it on because it is definitely not the most attractive thing for my husband to see.
I look like a cross between Hanibal Lecter and Mr. Suffleupagus!!!
Now D, DH says I am being ridiculous and that it doesn't matter because it is for my health.
I guess I am too vein.

What is your average? Mine was around 15.
My Mother was 104!!! Yikes!

Good luck and let me know if you have any questions.

Thanks ladies, we are still waiting for his tests to be done. And for a sleep study.
We actually went out as a family this weekend, it is very rare. But it was an out door festival, so he could have a nap in the sun.
I cannot wait for it to be sorted as it as affected our marriage so much. We have been together nearly three years and have never slept in the same bed. It is really sad. He will not visit people as he is embarresed if he falls asleep.
I am so looking forward to having an active, healthy dh.
Tenn lady i will send you an email.
Thanks again. Love Trace

Trace, hang in there and try not to take his snoring, mood swings, disorientation, and blank stares personally. My husband was recently diagnosed w/sleep apnea, underwent the sleep study and has been on his CPAP machine for nearly a wk. Before then, I thought my husband was turning in to a ghost and a very cranky, lazy one. He was emotionally, mentally, and basically physically absent. It has been awful. I just tried to stay busy. I've worn ear plugs for the past few years so that we could sleep together. The ones called "Hearos" are the best. I promise that once he's on the machine, things will improve. My dh is still trying to get used to the mask (it has made his face sore) but he is definitely improving. Again, keep yourself busy and try those earplugs!
