Question Sleepiness related 2 Diabetes??

Been getting usual # of hrs of sleep: around 7-8, but have been so sleepy as of late during the day...feels like I haven't even slept. Been going on 4 past few days, but I've been dealing w/ type 2 for some while...any idea regarding this?

I have been getting problems like this on & off for the past two years!! I am not a diabetic or anaemic or anything wrong with my thyroid and have been tested many times. I find it difficult somedays to concentrate and feel sleepy in the day when I have slept OK at night.
the doctor says it is nothing to do with having PCOS!! I am stumped as well!!

Its related to type 2 or pcos somehow. I had severe joint pain for years and have had test after test after test done and everything came up negative. Now that I am going to the endo, he told me that the joint pain and fatigue are due to pcos, I know my type 2 is related to pcos, so I think it is all related.

This happens to me also. I find that when this is happening, it is due to my sugar levels being high. I talked with my Dr. about it, and she told me that it is related to the diabetes and diet.

Have you been tracking your sugars? If not, try tracking them and see if the sleepiness and the sugar levels go hand in hand. If they don't seem to be, I would check with your doctor.

Good luck and I hope you start to feel better. I know it sucks to be sleepy all the time. Makes it very hard to get through the day.
