Slim in 6 workout OR P90X? Which one would you recommend?
So, I'm starting to get into workout dvd's right now. I'm looking for a pretty intense workout for a specific length of time (like 6 weeks or 90 days). Either "Slim in 6" or "P90x." I need to lose weight and tone up. I know that P90x seems to bulk people up a bit, but I figured I would go easy on the weights. Anyone ever finish the program? My ultimate goal is weight loss.
I love the Jackie Warner "Workout" dvd and one that was recently recommended by Kat "Element the Mind Body Experience - Ballet Conditioning." (thanks Kat!) They are both fantastic. Very big on squats! Legs will be sore....
Just to give you an idea- I don't like annoying dvds with super perky people and unecessary talk. I did not like "Turbo Jam" at all. I need dvd's that move quickly. I'm not too big on kick boxing or bubbly cardio sessions. I never liked taking aerobics classes at gyms, just to give you an idea.
Any suggestions would be much appreciated!

Kat- nevermind- I found it on the Beach Body website.
Would you mind going into a little detail of why you like Slim Series over P90x for weight loss? thanks a lot

I like them both, and they both will produce weight loss. I've never done a P90x rotation - it requires a base level of fitness that I don't have yet.
Probably before I tried P90x, I'd have to do at least one round of Power 90 Masters before moving onto P90x. P90x and P90x+ are probably some of the hardest video series on the market.

I saw it last night too, and now I'm really tempted.... Now that I've seen more of the exercises, it looks a lot more appealing. Definitely challenging, but in a good way.
I got the Slim Series as you had suggested, and I've finished my first week. I like it, but I could use more. So, maybe P90X should be next for me. I'm not into floor work at this time, and Slim Series does quite a bit (hopefully P90X doesn't do too much).
I'm still really interested in the Kettlenetics.
If you decide to do the P90X and want a partner, let me know, and I"ll get it too.... (by the way, I saw a "cheap" version of this on Craigslist).
