Post Slimming World

Hy everyone,

My gynae has suggested that I do the Slimming World diet but only the "red days"?. Can anyone tell me what I can or can't eat on these days and is anyone else having any success with this?

Thanks

Alison

Hi

I really liked Slimming world, I lost 1 stone but packed it it as I just hated the fact that you were expected to wait for the whole session - I wanted to just get weighed and go.

I paid about £9 up front for the package and then it was £3 (I think) after that and if you miss one you pay double the next time and so on.

The diet worked though and you don't have to buy all sorts of expensive foods like other diet groups.

let me know how you get on, I might go back - you've put me in the mood!

Age 30 - textbook case, I've got ALL the symptoms and am getting broody - so believe me I am grateful for my good sense of humour!
Been diagnosed 1993 and have been on dianette since, but, have recently come off due to high BP. Hoping to start Merformin soon.
Would like to hear from any other Scottish Cysters on the subject.

Hi Alison,
I am on the Slimming World Plan - red days. I joined in Oct and by Dec I had lost 1 stone 9lbs. I got side tracked over xmas but I am going to start it again. I went tonight and I have stayed the same so I am going to try and stick to it this week!
Basically you can eat as much meat as you like as long as visable fat is removed before cooking and you cook it without using any fats. Your allowed between 5 and 20 sins a day which you can use on anything you like. The best thing about it is Sunday dinners!!! You can have loads of meat a couple of spuds and as much veg (excluding peas, parsnips and sweetcorn) as you like. I know that sounds really confusing but it is easy when you get the hang of it. At the moment its half price to become a member (£5) and £3.75 a week. You don't have to stay at class if you don't want to - you can go and get weighed and leave or stay. I find it very supportive to stay at my class but I don't stay every week.
Anyway thats enough of me babbling on!!!
If you want to know more feel free to mail me any time:

Take care
Nat

I went to their website and the plan sounds cool. Does it work for us PCOSers to have potatoes and ordinary bread? Also, they dont explain what red days and green days are. Can someone fill me in? I am practically vegetarian. Can I do the diet?

The red days are as much meat as you like but limited potatoes, pasta, rice, peas, sweetcorn, parsnips, baked beans etc.
Green days are as much potatoes, pasta, rice, peas, sweetcorn, parsnips, baked beans etc, but limited Meat.
You may find it really had being a vegetarian. You could always look in the local paper find the number of you local Slimming World class and explain what is going on for you and she maybe able to help or give advice.
Sorry I couldn't be of much more use.
Nat
