Has anyone had any success with SLS free shampoos? I'd heard about it reducing shedding, but I haven't noticed a difference. I've only been using SLS-free for about a month though.
I've never heard of SLS-free shampoos. What is SLS?

The only shampoo that has clinically shown to help with hair regrowth is Nizoral, which you can find in the dandruff section of the shampoo asisle in the supermarket.
It should be used every 3 days in rotation with other shampoos.
The active ingredient is ketoconazole. I don't think many people have seen regrowth from Nizoral alone, but it will help keep your scalp healthy.
I continuously shed and have tried Nioxin, Nizoral, Thymuskin, everything topical except Rogaine. None seemed to make a difference. I have heard to not use SLS-based shampoos so I have been using Aveda products, most lately the Rosemary-Mint shampoo & CherryApple Bark conditioner. It seems to look a little pouffier but I haven't noticed regrowth yet.
I used to use Nizoral quite often but after I bleached half my head (dumb) and then dyed it twice (dumber) it made my hair waay too dry.
