Default Smoking and met

Ok I hate to admit my dirty little habit, but I am really wanting to be without cigarettes.

Yes I smoke, and want to know if anyone knows the side effects to taking met. I know how bad it is for me anyway, but want to know if these bad things increase while taking met.

I took Met in Oct., and smoked, I have just recently quit smoking and the side effects were no worse while smoking. It really didnt seem to make a difference to me.

I smoke, and had no side effects from metformin, not severe ones any way. Just very tired the first week, that I started taking met, but I think that's normal anyway whether you smoke or not.

I started the Met on Dec 23th of 02 and smoked, although I did stop smoking on Dec 28th because someone said smoking and taking met was a bad idea...They said smoking and taking the met would cause the Met not to do what its suppose to..Scared me enough to make me quit..Although Iam wondering have any of you heard of this?? I dont feel any different though taking the met now,as to when I was smoking and taking it..
