Smoothbeam laser

Anyone try the Smoothbeam laser?

I have tried everything antibiotics, topicals, the pill etc and nothing has eliminated the stubborn acne on my jaw line, cheeks, chin. Recently, a dermatologist said it might work for me. I am not a candidate for accutane, as I can no longer take the pill.

Have you tried microderm abrasions? I go every 2 weeks to get them and it helps control the oil in my skin and the little crystals help clean out my pores. Let me tell you though these things are addicting. Also I was told that the reason we break out on the jaw line, cheeks, and chin is because of the stinking testosterone so you might want to try to get that a little more under control and see if that helps any... Let me know!

I did the laser treatment. I think I had 3, maybe 5 sessions (this was a few years ago). Unfortunately it didnt help my acne. My before and after pictures looked the same. I actually had worse acne above my upper lip from the laser. I was crushed- I thought this was going to get rid of my acne forever. I hope there are success stories out there for you. I think because my acne is so hormonal that nothing from the outside will help it.

I have been using the treatments - after 3 sessons (1, then a 3-month break, and 2 since then) I am really noticing a difference. Plus, a lot of insurance plans cover it (!) ~ which is great.

I would certainly say it is worth a try.
