Question So confused about Laser :(

Please help me.....

I want to get laser but i dont know what to do. I want to just go to Sona or SleekMedSpa because of convenience, but have heard mixed reviews about them. I dont know how to tell who to trust regarding laser treatments. this is so overwhelming!! also, im worried my hormones arent in check. i have been on yasmin for about 4 years, and met for 3 months. i get my period on my own when i stop my pill....but if my hormones are in check then why is my hair still growing on my face? sorry if this is too many ?'s....i am new here and feeling sad thanks for the help!

I can answer a few questions. Even if your hormones are balanced, the excess hair will keep growing. Once it starts, it doesn't stop unless you kill the root (through laser or electrolysis). You can't really tell if your hormones are in balance unless you have them checked again.

I got one laser treatment from Alase (Lightsheer laser) before I got pregnant. Two months later, I've still got 75% less facial hair. I have another 4 sessions remaining in my contract, which I'll pick up once I have Smoochie. I'm so glad I got one session done before I got pregnant. Last time I was in the hospital, hubby had to help me shave my beard! I don't think it will be quite that bad this time.

Hi, I read the board all the time but don't post that often. I am going to Ideal Image to get my laser treatments done. They are great. I don't know if you have one in your area, but they have many different types of lasers they use for different skin types. I have had great results and can't wait for all of my treatments to finish. One thing I don't like about it though is that I use proactive to control my acne, (another symptom of this lovely way of life) and I can't use it while getting the treatments. They just have one price (about 1200 dollars for me) for all the treatments you need and you know all the costs up front. Also, they have a financing plan that's great if you can't afford it all up front. I know it seems pricey but to me it is sooo worth it when you think of the money you spend on wax and the pain and embarrassment of facial hair. I totally recommend laser hair removal. Just make sure you're comfortable with the company you use because it is a big investment of time and money if you're not happy with them.

another laser fan here! I had coolglide laser, and like GSD, I paid for a package all up front. Worth every penny.
