Default so confused!only25 with menopause symptoms

Hi Ladies

I really need your help

Basically I got my blood test result today and my estrogen and progesterone levels are extremely low.it's even lower that what it should be for post menopause.
I'm only 25 and scared to death, what if I dont get my period anymore!

I'm so confused,I did a saliva test 2 months a go and my progesterone was low ,started using wild yam Npc and vitex tincture, got my period after 38 days last month.

this time even though I used npc and vitex ,still there is no sign of AF,only found out that my hormones are way too low.

is there any alternative remedies that I can take?the doctors are useless since they have nothing tooffer except Bcps which I had extreme reaction to 3 different kind.so its no no for me.

I just dont understand I did another blood test on day 3 of my last cycle and everything was fine even my androgens and now on day 33 is a mess.I'm sure my horrible hair shedding which started 2 months a go is because of that

please give me some advice

here is my blood test's result:

LH 13. luteal 1-5 IU/L
FSH 4. 1-5

Prolactin 21. <26

progesterone 1.0 3.8-50.6

Estradiol 95. 77-1145

oohh, I am so sorry!

I sort of know how you feel - I'm 25, as well, and have been dealing with mood swings, hot flashes, and basically behaving like a menopausal woman.
I know that phytoestrogenic herbs help me, and would probably help you. I take Soladay Female Hormone Blend, and I think it's been pretty good for me. You might want to keep up the vitex and NPC....
That's all I have for now!
Maybe see if you can find a doc who would consider bioidentical hormones? might not be as bad as the BCPs... I can't take BCPs, they mess everything up.

Thanks Kathryn I'll look in to that.
I'm just not sure if I should continue using npc since I've past 28 days with no AF.
some ladies only use t for 14 days after O' wouldit be alright for me to continue using it?
I do take vitex everyday but has done nothing this cycle.maybe I should up my dose, currently taking 30 drops a day.
just dont want to overdose on it.

miss62 - you shouldn't use NPC for more than 21 days at a time and it is only when you take a break from using it you should get AF. You should use it as a replacement to Provera tablets.

Hi Amber

I know I shouldnt but my progesterone level is way to low.I stopped npc about 10 days ago and still no sign of AF so I used it again last night.

I just dont know what esl I can do.I get really bad headaches from not getting my AF so I'm kind of desperate and my docotor doesn't seem to care .all I need is a shot of progesterone to regulate my cycle and I should be fine for another 6 months.seems like they are not gonna do it this time

From what my instructions say, as long as you have a break for a week every three weeks you will be okay, so if it was 10 days ago you should be okay. I know what you mean about the headaches though, the cream really helps keep them under control.

Oh I see....the serenity npc has usp progesterone in it.

I wondered why mine didnt work..thats because its wild yam and its not usp progesterone.
crap I paid a lot for the small one.

Hi Miss 62, I often come across posts you've written and it seems we are a bit in the same boat I'm 25 too and my symptoms are irregular periods (I've always been irregular and I'm not sure if I O on my own), thinning hair since a year or so and 'difficult' skin since 21.

My skin is better now than a few weeks ago. I think it has to do with starting inositol & choline and basically not putting Differin gel on my face every night anymore (my skin got so dry and I got red patches), so I moisturize moderately.

I'd like to see a dermatologist for my hair (and skin) but my gp won't give me a letter so in the mean time I'm taking biotin and massage my scalp a lot.

I've noticed that I O after quitingg bcp (I've charted a few cycles) but I only am that lucky for one cycle, like this cycle - I don't think it will happen anytime soon, if at all.

To get to the aspect of bloodwork, I'm curious in what unit your levels are? Is your estradiol in pmol/l (like in Europe and unlike in the US)? My estradiol was tested 3 times (CD 7, 1 DPO and CD 3 (but not in consecutive cycles, just throughout a period of 6 months). The lowest amount was 146 pmol/l or 39,77 pg/ml (CD 7) and the highest was 182 pmol/l or 49,58 pg/ml (CD 3). I thought that was okay but now I read on SC that throughout your entire cycle your levels should never be lower than 60 pg/ml (which would be 220,26 pmol/l).. So yeah, I'm screwed in that case.

The other thing that scares me is my FSH, it's been measured on the cycle days mentioned above and it's been 8, 3.7 & 5.5. Still less than 10, but that 8 on CD 7 is getting close

I never really looked into my progesteron, but I guess mine is low too. It should be less than 4.5 and mine is less than 0.60.

I'm wondering if met would work for us. I was told that met has a different effect on 'thin cysters' than on 'regular cysters'. For us it works in that it ameliorates your estrogen/androgen ratio. For the time being I take EPO btw, and I use flax on my breakfast. I think phyto-estrogens won't harm us as much since we are clearly not estrogen dominant. I don't think we suffer from POF because I know I've ALWAYS had low hormone levels. It's still pretty sh*tty though.

Well, I'll let you know if I find a magic cure! Just wanted to say hi for now

Hi July,
we have pmol/L lab system here in Canada.
I never had a blood test done before my 3 months bcp trial so I'm not sure what my levels were before the pills screw up cycles.except for dheas which was high about 1 point over the normal level.
this month I'm going for another blood test one on cd 18 to see how my estrogen/progesterone levels are.
but I have to say I think my estrogen is up again.I was drinking fennel tea fora week and I had the usuall symptoms bigger boobs, and even my hair is getting better.except for my excess hair that is coming back full force.I used progesterone cream this cycle and I couldnt believe it I got my period after 7 days.I even went to refill my medroxy P prescriptions.I think I need to do npc and fennel tea for couple of cycles.
I'll give you an update when I get my tests done.
btw I see you take spearmint in your signature.does it work?I did try it for a month.but I may start it again
