So confused....please, please help IDK what to do...UPDATE
So, I can't find my last posting to update so, I'll just update here and ask a question for you ladies.
I went and got a blood test done and it was negative, and I started BCP's (femcon FE) on 10/21 (Wed.)
Sunday night I missed a pill because I was packing my husband to leave for vacation.
The next night, monday, I took two pills.
However, Tuesday, I started spotting (brown w.some pink) and then since then I have had light to increasing medium (very red) flow. (sorry for TMI) - BTW I've never had breakthrough bleeding, ever - if I did it was spotting at most, not for days and days like this.
I am supposed to start Femara on cd 3-7 and I would consider this my period, but when I have talked to the nurse at my OB's office she says this is normal and to keep taking the BC pills and then in 10 days or so, I would have ANOTHER period, she said it may be light, but even if it's red bleeding for just two hours it's my period and then after that to start the Femara.
Now, I think that I should start Femara today (CD4) ideally I would have liked to start it yesterday but I didnt after talking to the nurse.
Me and my husband feel this way and I firmly feel this isn't just "bleeding" this is my period, possibly brought on by Provera (which after 5 days of no bleeding the OB office said to start the BCPills - I think this is now my Provera bleed)
What do you ladies think I should do????
Start the Femara today - or hope I get a period in another week to start Femara then????
I'm so confused....
Any help is SO APPRECIATED.

my very unprofessional opinion is that if you and your husband are having the same gut feeling on this one, go with it. you know your body, and if you know that af is here (most likely from the provera), take the femara. at least, i would. it's hard to say because you are kind of forced into making a personal call here and i can imagine the anxiety you must have. and i wouldn't really want to encourage someone going against a nurse's advice, but that's what i personally would do. good luck hun, kup!

The facts about Provera are that it can take up to 10 days to get your withdrawal bleed. So go with your gut instinct, you know your body better than anyone else.

That's exactly what I thought, I know my body too well and I know this is AF and my (and DH's) guts are telling us that we should do it...
...so I did!!!
I'm happy I did too, I just feel like something is right. It's a weird feeling. Maybe this is the month!
I hate going against someone's advice, but nobody is perfect, and nobody is correct 100% of the time, and, I do know my body better than anyone.
So, this time, I just had to rely on instinct.
I'm not sure what I'm going to do about my CD21 progesterone level yet! It's going to be early, so...maybe I should just get it a little late. IDK have to do more research on that!!
Somehow, I dont think that whether I took my pills cd3-7. 4-8...etc or whether I waited and stayed on the BCP would really matter. I think, for me, what matters the most is just getting that darn egg to pop and then BD'ing! AND NOT STRESSING OUT!!!
LOL
Thanks so much gals - I appreciate all your support! *hugs and baby dust all around*

InfertiliBaby, I'm glad you went with your gut instinct. It will hopefully be the best decision you made! Keep us posted on how the cycle goes!

I'm glad you did too To view links or images in this forum your post count must be 10 or greater. You currently have 0 posts. I kind of got the feeling that maybe your nurse wasn't really listening, or gave you less credit than you deserve - i don't think they realize sometimes how much we all really do know about what we're doing. Hope your 'good feeling' turns into a BFP!!

Ok, so...I took the Femara, like I thought I should and I have not been temping this month, but decided to try Ovacue.
Ovacue said that my max fertility days were 11-13 and I think I ovulated on CD12.
I'm supposed to get a progesterone level done on CD21, but, obviously since I took the Femara "early" (from when my dr's office thinks I'll take it since I had about a weeks and a half left of the BCP pack) the results would be about a week and a half too soon.
So...
- Should I take the CD21 test on CD21 or wait a little while to when my OB thinks I would be getting it (IDK if the OB would even correlate the early results....)
- If my OB finds out I didnt finish the pack of BCP's and took the Femara when my instincts told me to during my AF/Breakthrough can my Dr refuse to prescribe me more pills or help me???
I mean, I didnt abuse or misuse the medication...I took it on the correct cycle days. The nurse just thought it was breakthrough bleeding and I thought it was AF
Sidenote: The Ovacue did CONFIRM OVULATION this month!!!! I know it's supposed to be really accurate...
Again, any help for me in my 2WW here would be more than appreciated...
Oh, I do have like 11 GoogleWave invites left if someone wants one!

InfertiliBaby, you absolutely have to get your progesterone test 7 days post ovulation. No more, no less, or it won't be accurate.

(sidenote) last month I called the nurses office and asked if I should have it on CD21 or 7DPO and they just said....CD21....I was like, OK....but I didnt think it was the right move at the time....

Some women don't ovulate on CD 14. So to do the P4 on CD 21 wouldn't be accurate for everyone. I get the intrauterine insemination (IUI) done. So I always go in 7 days post IUI.

Yeah, that was my thoughts...and last month my progesterone levels were super low, and then my chart showed ovulation on cd28 - whether I did or not...IDK...I'm gonna keep my fingers crossed...

As long as the P4 is 7 days post ovulation, you'll get an accurate reading.
