Yes it's hard going through the teen years without having something wrong with your health that isn't easy to live with.
I wish I had known about having PCOS when I was 15; I didn't even know anything was wrong until I was 18 and started getting facial hair. I didn't begin to gain weight until I was out of school because I went to a desk job and went everywhere by car.
Changing your lifestyle now will help you a lot when you are older and you'll be glad you knew now, instead of then.
Come to the forum and find some friends your age (or older if that's who you relate to best) and listen to them and you'll find not only are you not the only one suffering through this, but you'll find that there are ways to help yourself to being the best you you can be when you are older. Read the forums, ask questions, but most of all try to do what works best for you to help lose weight and change your lifestyle.
You'll do fine and you'll be stronger for it.
Find a way to motivate yourself to fighting to feel better than you do now. Find a buddy to exercise with, even if it's just going for walks together every day.
You have your whole life ahead of you, and you have the advantage of medical advances a lot of your cysters never had. If you work at it now, you will be used to the lifestyle by the time you are out of school, and you'll live like you have never had PCOS.
I hope I have encouraged you to fight for yourself. here's a hug to make you feel better
I'm always happy to help if you want to talk or email; just P.M. me.
Keep Smiling
Fuzzy Bear

Pulling yourself out of the dumps, even with long-distance help is one awesome step ~ WELL DONE!!
You sound like you felt so alone, and knowing you aren't has made you feel stronger. I'm so glad!
If you need any help making decisions on what small steps you can take to change your lifestyle, you KNOW that someone here will be ready, willing and able to help give you your options.
Realizing you need help with your feelings and taking the step to ask for it was really mature, so it sounds to me you've taken another step into growing up ~ which really isn't as scary as you think it is. I Promise! I am sure other cysters will back me up on that too.
Tell us about yourself so we can give you suggestions; you don't have to take them, but it doesn't hurt to read them and to have extra input for any decisions you need to make. We're all different, so different things work for all of us differently.
Keep up the great work, sweety
