I can't begin to tell you guys how frustrated I am. I've had 2 miscarriages in the last year. My recent in Feb of this year. I decided with this one to have a D&C, because after my first one, which I did naturally, I didn't clear everything. Well now it turns out I have scar tissue from the D&C that is stopping me from getting pregnant as well as blocking one of my Fallopian tubes. Now I have to go for surgery to get rid of the scarring, which could take 2 months. I'm over 40 and feel like time is running out. I never would have imagined it would be so hard to try to have a baby. I know if I am blessed with a baby in the end it will all be worth it, but man oh man I am beginning to wonder.
:
Sherry - sorry this has been so difficult for you. Hope all goes well with your surgery.

Sherry,
I am so sorry to hear what you have gone through.
I too have scarring from the loss of my IVF twins last year after the doctor butchered my uterus. It is really important to make sure you have a skilled surgeon remove the scarring or you can end up with things even worse than they are now. There is a website for women with Ashermans. It has a section dedicated to questions to ask your doctor. As well they also have a forum that although a little stuck up is pretty informative to those with scarring.
My last surgery was with Dr. Virro in Markham, Ontario and he seemed to do a great job considering the amount of scarring that I had. I go for a follow up surgery here in Calgary in June but from tests so far it looks like there won't be too much more scarring to remove.
May I ask who performed your d&c?
Again I am so sorry for what you are going through and if you have any questions feel free to message me.
Good Luck with the surgery and I hope all goes smoothly.
I know this is an old post, so I'm not sure if I'll get a response...
SCJellyBean, I am dealing with the same scarring issues due to a D&C. I was wondering if you could let me know how your surgeries went. I just had one last week and am praying I won't have to do another one.
