Angry So frustrated

I'm so bleeping frustrated!

I have resorted to shaving my chin, neck, and sideburns (well, the stuff near my ear, I think those are sideburns!). As much as it embarasses me, I'd rather do it than have the hair sitting there. (My husband, btw, knows to stay out of the bathroom while I'm doing this as I can get overtly emotional about it, but he tries to tell me that he doesn't mind me doing it, that he doesn't think badly about me, or anything, but it really, truly bothers me, and I'd just rather nobody watch me do it).

I don't worry about the bits above my lip because they're tons lighter.

So, if I shave, then I get red bumps and it starts growing back in within a few hours. It (the regrowth) isn't extremely dark, but it isn't light, and my hubby says it isn't very noticable, but *I* notice, and I'm sure others do, too.

So my choices, as I see it, are : irritation during the day, but relatively little facial hair while at work or little irriation, but tons of worry thinking that everybody will start at my facial hair.

What do you guys do to manage chin/neck growth? Does anybody else shave? If so, how do you stop the red bumps?

Hi Misa, I know it can be frustrating having to shave every day. I have the same problem. Normally I pluck hairs two or three times a week, sometimes it can take about an hour but I have alot less facial hair that way. You might try waxing your face every week. As for the redness and bumps. After plucking I clean my face and apply Persa Gel 10, it helps to dry up any excess oil and to clear up your skin. Then after I shave I wash my face and apply Neutrogena Multi Vitamin Acne Cream. This takes away the redness and bumps. My face stays smooth and hairless for the rest of the day. Also you might try laser treatments. Several ladies have tried them with good success. I hope this can help you.

Default magic

Hi
my miracle solution has been MAGIC hair removal. i can't do without it! since the first day i tried it, my skin DID NOT get irritated at all, it was so hair free that you would have never thought i had any facial hair at all. and the best part........everytime it grows back it gets lighter and lighter and lesser too. i do pluck about 5-10 hairs from my chin because those are really stubborn but the rest is taken off with the magic. i too have to do it when no ones around because i feel embarrassed but i just can't go back to feeling so unsecure and ugly when i looked like a werewolf (lol). anyway, i started using it once a week and now i am using it once in a week and a half since the hair is taking longer to grow. i highly recommend it. and since my skin has always been very sensitive with anything, it has not gotten irritated at all. the hair is more visible with shaving. also, (i know we aren't talking about hair) i tried the Nair lotion on my legs, and i was so amazed that after leaving it on for about 10 minutes, i washed it off and my legs are so soft and hair free and the best part is that i didn't miss a spot which i usually do with a razor, and the hair is taking a longer time to grow too. okay Ladies best luck to you........
