Sorry I needed someone that understood and could maybe offer some suggestions. I got a perm about a week before I was dx'd with PCOS (in March) and the first day the doc put me on Provera. Shortly thereafter my hair started to fall out when I took it. Now! omg I am so sick of the hair everywhere! With permed hair obviously I can't brush it all the time or its a major frizz fest so in the mornings I have just wads of hair. It has made our sink a hopeless clogged mess despite every effort made by our maintenance guy (we live in an apt) and Drano. I have all this hair all over the stupid sink and counter and in the garbage can. I know people that come over think I'm a freak or something.
We have several friends with babies now and I'm nervous about the babies pullin at my hair b/c they always end up with a fistful. I also seem to wear my hair like some people wear dog hair. Its on our furniture, our car seats, when I swim it is all in the pool UGH! I am sick of losing my hair! I'm not even on Provera anymore and it is still happening. Grrrr.

I'm really sorry to hear that. I can understand how you're feeling because I experienced that and I still experience that althought the scale of the hair loss is so much less now praise God.
My hair dropped so much that there was hair everywhere in my flat and everywhere i went, there was a trail of hair dropping -on my coat, floor, you name it. So, trust me, I understand what you're going through.
I think you should really check your hormonal levels and see if you're hypothyroid. I actually found out that I was hypothyroid and once my levels were stabilised my hair loss has reduced. Although it's still not normal, I'm so happy that I still have hair on my head!
I am blessed that I was born with a head full of hair and despite the hair loss, I still ahve quite alot left so whenever I go and complain to my doctor , they won't believe me as I still ahve quite alot of hair. My hair now is 1/4 of what it used to be.
Hopefully that helps.
If you need any other advice let me know , if i can help.
aww, sweetie - i do feel for you could you have a word with your dr?? Since getting my hair cut (it was really long), now i wear is above my shoulder - and my hair loss doesnt seem as noticeable.

I second this option. With the PCOS, the metformin and losing alot of weight fairly quickly my hair loss is at an all time high (i'm almost 22 scary). I cut off 9 and 1/2 inches and even though you can tell i have thinning hair if i part it a certain way it is possible to cover it up easily. i feel for you ((hugs))
