Default So glad I found this site!

Hi! I was sent to this site and I'm so glad I found it! I was diagnosed w/PCOS by blood work in 2004 when I went off BCP to TTC and didn't have a cycle for 6 mo. After 2 m/c's (used Clomid to get PG) I finally had my oldest DD. When we TTC #2 I had 2 more m/c's so my OB sent me to a RE who did a u/s of my ovaries, which were filled with cysts. He felt I was insulin resistant so he put me on metformin and femera. We did 3 IUI's and the 3rd cycle worked and I was able to carry that baby to term...that is my 2nd DD.

I always doubted my PCOS diagnosis until I really started researching and saw the u/s of my cyst filled ovaries. The constant cramping suddenly made sense! I am borderline underweight (5'9" and 132 lbs) so I always thought I couldn't have PCOS unless I was overweight. I don't have bad acne problems, balding or anything. The only symptoms I have are extremely irregular cycles (every 3-6+ mo), cysts and cramping. But I've finally come to terms with my diagnosis and I now worry for my 2 little girls and hope I don't pass it down to them.

Anyway, I just wanted to say hi and I'm so glad I found this site and can't wait to look around more!

Thanks for your post, Aimers, my symptoms are the exact same as yours and you have 2 kids! I have a lot of cramping too, it switches between the right and left ovary. I haven't had a period in over 2 months but I started Met a month ago and am hoping I ovulated recently. Anyway, welcome aboard!

Hey Melly! My cramping switches sides too. It seems to hurt constantly on one side (currently right) and then a few days later goes to the other side.

Hopefully the met will work for you! I went ahead and did the femera along with it but before going on met when I would do fertility drugs I still had a 35-38 day cycle and ov'd around day 21-23. My 3rd cycle on the femera and metformin I ov'd on CD 13. I couldn't believe it! The met really helped my cycles!

Good luck and thanks for the warm welcome!

~Aimee
