 So hard to switch docs...
So I guess it isn't really hard to switch docs... it's just really hard for me! I have had absolutely no problem dumping a specialist that isn't doing their job and finding another. Like for PCOS... but I seem to be having trouble switching family docs. lol this sounds silly.
I'm not really crazy about my family doc at the moment. I was seeing a doc, then he got a fabulous PA that I saw. The doc quit and then so did the PA, and they were replaced with others. And I never switched?!? I haven't been to see this doc in about 2 years or so. I'd like to have a GP though if I should need it... So how do you go about switching regular docs. I don't have any reason to see the doc... yet?!? I'm not sick. But at the same time I don't want to be sick, and go into a brand new doc who doesn't know anything about me.
I think this post is more me just rambling than anything else.
So switching GPs do you call and... say "is dr ___ accepting new patients? add me to the list?" lol .... or do you just wait till you're sick and go?
