Default So I finally bought the Magic Powder

I've been putting it off because I really didn't think it would work. I have sensitive skin and nothing else like this has ever worked for me at all. I got the regular kind in the blue can. I used it and surprisingly there was no irration at all and it did remove the hair... kind of. It didn't remove any below my skin. It was like I shaved but not as close. So, those of you that said that the hair grew back just as fast as shaving... it's probably because it didn't even remove the whole hair. I'm wondering if there are any tricks to this. How can I get it to the root. Is there a stronger formula?

I'm afraid it doesn't go to the root. It's like nair I suppose.... There is a stronger formula (extra strength) but it won't go to the root either.

Where I used it the hair is growing as if I shaved it.

its not supposed to remove the root. it a depilatory cream. it dissolves the hair. the skin is in the way so it cant get below it. i used it down there, used it 4 times so far, reported less hair. its not as dense as it was.

hmmm... I didn't know this. I thought these creams were supposed to make the hair fall out. What is the advantage then?

Just another hair removal option... All of them have their plusses and minuses. I guess depilatory creams are suppose to leave your hair smoother than if you shaved... And in the case of Magic: it's claiming to make it easier for people (err a black men) to not get so many ingrown hairs and razor burns or keep them "bump free" I guess..

I did use it on the back of my neck last week and found it was less annoying than shaving. I mean, I didn't get the usual itchiness and red irritation as I find with shaving.

it should have taken it off at the skin surface... when i took it off i used a wash rag and went against the hair direction... you kind have to rub it off.
