aw, sorry you have having such a rough time with met at the moment. Hope you feel easier soon. I find that if i avoid greasy/fatty/sugar foods as much as poss, and always eat with the met i get on better with it.

rae, believe me when I say - been there, done that. And I thought I was dying too, lol. It was literally one of the worst moments of my life and also one of the reasons I lowered my dosage from 1500mg to 1000mg. No way do I ever want to feel like that again.

It got me bad too! I took it before bed and managed to sleep through it until morning. No way could I take it during the day. I am on anti-depressants after an accidental break and am very empathetic with you. Thank gawd for imodium x

I'm so sorry for you...hoping you get to feeling better. May I ask what Met are you taking the XR or the regular kind. I just started taking Met myself 1500mg but just taking 1 at night to see how I will adjust to it. The only side effects I'm feeling are tiredness and a headache.

Maybe I'm differnt but I had those side effect from Met multiple times per day for 4 years! I tried every form on Met there was Fortamet, gluc etc etc.

After two years of refusing to try anything ever again I have Good news I finally found a form of Met that doesn't make me sick! Its Glumetza only real side effect I've had on it is gas but I'd rather have that then my 100 bathroom trips per day.

PS - My diet didn't make a bit of difference while I was on Met. Only thing that really set me off was Orange Juice big big big no no!

Hope you feel better soon!!! Wish I had some tricks to share.

I agree with Jess.. Glumetza is great. I had no side effects from it, except for a slight headache the first 2 days.
