1 hour ,4 nurses, 8 glasses of water and 3 needle sticks later, no blood. Do I just have small veins or is this something to do with PCOS or IR? All I needed was 1 stinkin vile of blood! Nice waste of 2 hours grrrrr.

I have always had that problem! I have rolling veins and they can never get them. Try a hotpack over the area they are trying to get blood from. Thats what I was having to do. Hope they get some, and get it over with!

I am the exact same way. If the person isn't very good at finding the vein on my arm then it can be a problem for me but sometimes I will get someone that knows how to find MY vein and then it's all good. I hope you will have better luck on Friday.

I have the same problem, at labs people always look at my arms and are like WOW!
Even when they think they have found a decent vein, they'll stick the needle in and nothing will come out because the suction is too strong or something, that's the explanation I got.
Hopefully you'll have better luck on Friday.

I have had this problem, too. I have finally found a lab tech who usually can get it right away. I always ask for her when I have blood work done. Also, it seems she is usually most successful when using a butterfly needle instead. A butterfly needle is smaller; it's the kind they use on newborns. Definitely ask them to use the butterfly needle on Friday. Also, drink lots of fluids the day before you know you're going to have blood work done. Good luck!

i have always had that problem god last time they looked at my neck took 3 nurses 3 needles and finally they got it on the top of my hand but that was after they had tried going in twice i'm still bruised had it dun thursday lol
