I usually pluck the little hairs on my chin. I never planned on lasering it because it's just a few. But I got a deal for half off the price of a new body part and decided that was pretty cheap so I'd do it. now I had to stop plucking! And I have to shave my chin which I never did before because I plucked and I swear these little hairs grow so fast! And there are more of them than I thought because I was always plucking them out so didn't know how many there were.

Yeah you have to shave before your treatments. This really worried me at first. But the hair does get softer and fall out. So no worries. My treatments were 5 weeks apart so I'd wax like 2 weeks after and then shave right before my appointment or at most a couple days in advance. But my hair never really grew super fast, it was just dark.
Why shave? That's nuts!! I don't know if I could do that.
Some of us have far too much hair to pluck/wax
When getting laser, you can't do anything that pulls the hair out by the roots, or the laser won't be able to destroy it. That's why shaving is necessary then.
I'd love to have laser treatment. How many times do you have to get it done? Why shave? That's nuts!! I don't know if I could do that.
The reason is exactly what the above cyster stated. I was really worried about the hair becoming coarse and darker but it didn't. I've gone through about six treatments. I'll probably do one or two more. It got rid of some of the hair but mostly it made it much lighter and less noticeable. I'll still probably be waxing for the rest of my life like twice a month, maybe once a month. But less noticeable is better
If you don't mind me asking about how much does it cost? I want to do that so bad. I swear I pluck all day and it just seems to grow back so dang quick. It drives me nuts. An older woman came in to where I work and bless her heart she had hairs all over her chin. I thought to myself oh man that is what I am going to look like when I am old if I don't keep plucking!
make sure you do good research on the laser that theyre going to use and the place that does your laser..different lasers are good for different skin types....im dark and have dark course hair and the place i went to used a laser that wasnt ideal for my skin type and i ended up gettin burned...im lucky it wasnt like 2nd or 3rd degree burns rather it was just superficial..also i used a numbing cream for my first procedure (as directed by the laser technician) but i guess most places dont do that that way you know what your skin can and can not handle
just throwin my 2 cents out there..i dont want anyone gettin burned

I've already lasered my bikini and am pretty much done with that and had great results. Then I have had so far two treatments on my arms. That's when they told me they were doing a 50% off for existing customers so I'm doing my chin for $330. It takes anywhere from 5 to 8 treatments, each ten weeks apart. You cannot pluck or wax, only shave. If I don't shave the chin hairs it's going to be scary so I shave them but they feel all rough. yuck. I don't have that many but I sure hate the ones I have.
However, this is all going to cost me a lot more than I bargained for. I am moving in a week right after I get my first chin treatment and I have at least 3 arm treatments to go. There is no location of this laser place (Ideal Image) less than an 8 hour drive from where I am moving to. So therefore I will have to fly back to Tampa every 10 weeks to do my lasering. It sucks but I've already paid for it and have great results so I'm not quitting now. But still this really sucks. They don't have a location in the whole state of LA or MS or AL.
