If I do decide to stop taking the met, due to joint and muscle pain (which would have to be tomorrow b/c I've already taken it tonight), what DO I do to get my pcos under control?
I was so hoping that Met would help me.but, if I'm having joint and muscle pain...that is a bad side effect yes? Isn't that a sign that I shouldn't be taking it?
I stopped mine a few weeks ago and I was a emotional/hormonal/violent wreck, needless to say after a few weeks off it, I decided to go back on. Everyone's different, it may be different for you. x

A very common drug given to control the hormonal imbalance of PCO is Spironolactone. It is not given when TTC but if you are not looking to become pregnant at this time it is likely to be the script given.
Also when Met causes side-effects to horrid to withstand the taking of your Dr. can switch you to Avandia or Actos.

Best of Luck and please call your Doc and let him/her know.
I'm sort of new to all this, but what about the insulin resistant diet? Won't that help a little?
