Unhappy So sick...

I just started back on glucophage last friday. I am taking 850 twice daily....I throught since i took it before that I wouldn't have as severe diarrhea, nausea, etc. this time around....I was WRONG! I think I am going to have to titrate the dosage...yuck! How long till you started feeling better?

I sooo know how you feel I just started glumetza last Thursday only 500 mg once a day but my final goal is 1500mg once a day and I have been pretty sick the last few days but today is better but I guess I will just suffer through it!!! Hope you feel better soon!!! (((HUGS))))

You might chat with your Dr about starting at a lower dose. I started at 500mg, with the goal of getting to 1000mg. Each time I increased the dose, I got more of those bad side effects.

I found a difference between the brand and generic for some reason too. Glucophage gave me less side effects than generic Metformin.

Hope this phase passes soon for you!

I also have more trouble with the generic metformin than with the brand Glucophage. I use the extended release also which seems to help.

What type of nursing do you do? I'm a nurse in Labor and Delivery and I'm going to school to get my Nurse Practitioner license right now.
