Talking So Thankful!

I just wanted to write to say how thankful I am for my mom Charlotte! She has been a single mom for 18 years now, and doing fine on her own. She has always been a pillar of strength for me and so supportive and open. I never fear telling her anything, we are the best of friends. My friends love her too, and even though I am 20, I live at home and love it, I can come and go as I please, and on some nights, my mom will take my friends and I out for a night on the town. We go to concerts together, go to the beach and have this amazing relationship, while still having our other best friends and living our lives to the fullest! I cannot even begin to express how wonderful she is! Along with my mom, I had amazing grandparents who, even though they were older, had amazing energy and did everything... dance class with me, girlscouts, band, and even marching band. I lost my grandma three years ago, and my grandpa just this past November. I am so thankful that I got to have them for as long as I did. My best friends Britt, Steph, and Alec have been amazing, and have stood by me no matter what! I owe them so much!

I am very thankful for my faith and spirituality in Christ and thankful that I know he is a forgiving and open Christ!

Just wanted to get out my utter appriciation for those that I love the most!

I hope you all are thankful out there for something/someone!

Lets also not forget how thankful I am that there is soulcysters.com so we can come together and speak from the hearts about our conditions!

It was wonderful to read your post. I love the fact that you are so close to your mom and that your friends are, too. We have a similar situation here. My son is 20 and he lives at home, too while he attends our local university and works part time. It works out very well. We enjoy each other's company and he doesn't have to pay big bucks for an apartment or dorm room! His friends often drop by here. Some of them even call my hubby and me "mom" and "dad"! We really enjoy their company and feel like they are truly our friends, too.

God bless you and your mom.

Kathryn
