-Cinnamon 800mg X2 a day with my met to help with my IR (the combo's working great for me, I'm down 30 pounds!)
-Vit D3 2000IU X2 I've tested clinically low and this is the dose the doc has me on
-Calcium 600mg X2 I've always taken calcium, but without enough D3, I may not have been absorbing it. My bone density scan looks good, but I'd rather supplement than develop osteoporosis
-cranberry- I have a tendency to get UTI's so I take cranberry to help keep them away
-B6/B12- recommended by my doc
-Whole Food's 1 a day food based multi- just in case I'm missing anything in my diet

I'm not TTC, but if I were I'd add folic acid to my combo.

I started an all-natural and drug free herbal supplement that is advertised for menopausal women who's hormones are out of whack like mine are - I couldn't find the herbal supplements individually and it has the vitamins I wanted also (Extra Strength NewPhase Complete - contains Vitamins D, B6, B12, Folic Acid, Calcium, and Magnesium along with Kudzu Root, Soybean, Chastetree Berry, Green Tree Leaf Extract, and Black Cohosh Root). I also take Evening Primrose Oil 1 1,000mg pill 3xday. Though the reasoning behind taking this and the Evening Primrose Oil pills stems from, what every report I read admitted as, small sampling studies, every study proved promising enough to try it. I've also read some personal accounts on other sites I trust that state that there's no harm in taking them.

So here's the plan: take the herbal suppliments from Day 1 until ovulation occurs (if it occurs - charting BBT also) and then switch to prenatal vitamins until the end of the cycle.

I take prenatals and an extra B complex suppliment. I also take melatonin in small doses to help me sleep. (We are TTC too, and melatonin in small doses is much safer than the sleeping pills I used to take.) I've been thinking of trying to start taking cinnamon, but I'd like to hear more testimonials, since I'm a little suspicious of it working.

I was planning to start taking chromium for IR, but now I'm afraid to continue it. There's a little in my prenatal anyway. Hopefully, that will be enough. I also thinking about trying the progesterone cream after ovulation....we'll see....it's all so complicated.

Kate29- I'm not as great with links as some of the others here are, but I know under 'Other Medications' there was a great topic all about Cinnamon. It's what decided things for me. I was dropping weight with just met, but adding cinnamon has helped me with some of the tummy trouble and it seems to be helping the spikes and drops in my energy.

i take evening primrose oil 2x a day, everyday! (fertility aid, helps produce healthy cervical fluid) AZO yeast pro biotic base tablets 400mg 2 times a day (helps prevent or treat yeast infection) i have reoccuring yeast infections. apple cider vinegar before each meal. Mix it with equal parts juice water. Whatever you drink. Tastes nasty but helps with lots of probs. (lowers cholesterol, helps aid in healthy urinary tract, fights yeast, curves appetite). USANA health pack 100 (helps regulate body, provides immune support, complete multivitamin) for me personally, it helped my digestive tract, gave me energy, helped me with alergies. I love USANA products. can not speak enough good things about them

What type of cinnamon are you taking? I was taking some but it didn't seem to do anything for me so I was wondering if it was because I got the wrong type. I know there is one type that is supposed to work better. Thanks!

The last bottle I had was (I think) Nature's Way. Yellow label, sold at Wal-Mart. 400mg Cinnamon + Chromium. I just realized after looking at the new bottle that it's 500mg, no Chromium. HyVee Health Market, so a store brand, but I'm OK with those as long as the bottles aren't sitting and getting old.

I do think that I'm going back to the first bottle when this one runs out. It was cheaper, and I feel like I had more energy with it. Also, this one has oat fiber, so I have to keep it away from DH (celiac, so oats are a dietary no-no).

Hope the info helps!

I'm currently taking Apple Cider Vinegar(tablets, as drinking it was not sitting well with my stomach), Green Tea Extract (tablets, as I don't drink that much tea), Cinnamon, Soy(just started this cycle), a prenantal Multi-Vitamin. I also take provera to bringh on AF if she doesn't show. I've cut down what I was taking, to keep things more simple(and DH was calling me a druggie for the loads of pills I was taking daily lol) I'm looking at other things I could add, but right now going to leave it as is for another two cycles and see if the soy does anything. Assuming I can get the hang of charting lol!

mabongwen- baby asprin is to stop blood clotting some people have a problem with that. Thats what I know about it anyway.

Im taking Glumetza 2000mg for IR. Its supposed to help with testosterone production too. Im also taking a prenatal with folic acid just in case. D3, VitE-because I have cystic breasts and its supposed to help and the D3 is because of the study showing that PCOS women can have vitD deficiencies. I also just started taking inositol 2000mg per day. Another study shows that we probably have a problem there too. Its easier to find than DCI and cheaper.
