Hi all,

Just thought I would give out some helpful advice! When you get your birth certificate and need to go get you Social Security card for you child, make an appointment!

I must have spoken to the office moron in our SS office who said they don't take appointments. Well after waiting 2 hours I got called and by then DS was screaming up a storm, she said sorry for the wait you should have made an appointment! DOH

Anyway, thats my bit of advice for the day, make an appointment if you have to go there for any reason! They take you right in before all the people waiting!

Our son Sam was born 11/07/03 and came home to us on 11/12/03, oh the miracle of adoption!

Hey, good to know! I'll keep that in mind, since I'll be making a trip to the SS office here soon (I hope). I sat for hours when I had to change my name on my SS card....it was painful.
