Unhappy Sole mates

I have pcos and it really got out of control because of bad advice from a friend who was sincere in trying to help me overcome my facial hair problem that I didn't know was a problem at the time because I was not a vain person and didn't take notice of my appearance. She recommended a hair removal cream for my upper lip and of course I spread it over my face and the facial hair spread to my chin. This then became a problem for obvious reasons and the cream was not a good idea because it would burn my skin and the hair came through faster and thicker. My self esteem became lower and lower and remains so to this day. Eight years ago I went to a laser treatment consultant who did not give professional advice in my opinion as she did not suggest I seek medical advice first, they may believe in their product but they should check to make sure that people like us have checked out all other avenues before recommending their treatment. Treatment cost me (NZD)$100.00 for 10 minutes work and the person that gave me the treatment said after she had done the service that I should go to the doctor as what I have looks more like a medical problem and the laser treatment will temporarily prevent hair from growing back but not permanently remove it. So after that visit I went to the doctor about seven years ago. I was diagnosed with pcos which was a great relieve. The doctor recommended Diane 35 which did in fact help relieve some symptoms and my face became softer and more female. I became pregnant three months into treatment and had to stop the medication because of this. I breastfed for three years and became pregnant again when my first daughter turned four years old and I am still breastfeeding today so I can't take medication because the medicine will apparently go into the breast milk and to baby. My first daughter is six years old and my second daughter is nearly three years old. I shave my face daily and this is very disturbing to me. I hate it. I feel like a man but I'm all girl. This web site is awesome as I am gaining a great deal of knowledge from the interesting information given from all of you. It is good to know that I am not alone.
