Question Some Info

I've had this since i started puberty . It seems i got my period the first 2 months but it just stopped . I am 22 now and i've only had my period prolly around 15 times .I gained weight right around puberty also . Maybe from this ..I'm thinking so now . Which all made me a very depressed teen and now an isolated adult. bleh

I went to a docter but i had to stop due to turning 22 and not having health coverage .I was using my parents up until now etc.

Anyhow , What i am wondering is .

1. So from what im reading it makes you break out ? If it's fixed will the acne go away or does that have to be treated seperate now?

2.If i have a severe case , will they have to take my ovaries out like my mother keeps saying ? (i really shouldve asked more questions with my doc.)

3.Is it ok to buy birth control right now if i can't see a docter ? can i just do this myself ?

4.I must add they found blood in my urin the last time i went to the docter . Whats up with this ?

Hi GnomeWithOneSock, like your user name.

Some people have sever to mild acne. I had it pretty bad as a teen and occasionally break out now, but it's not too bad. (I'm in my early 30's) I'm not sure what you mean by "fixed".

No, they don't have to take your ovaries out. Why does your mom think that? A lot of people here have had success with medication and diet. I've heard of people that have gone to the extent of full hysterectomy and found that it didn't really help like they were hoping it would.

I'd be careful with BC. Some of us don't do very well on certain kinds... gain more weight, symptoms get worse, etc. You should really be under a doctors care. Don't think you can even get it without a perscription.

Not sure about the blood. The doctor didn't say anything? Can you find out?

There's tons of info on this site. You should really study up on this so you know what to do when you are able to get health insurance again. That really sucks that you're not covered anymore. Hope you don't have to put it off for too long.

Are you in college/university. From what I understand you can get a scrip for BC at their health clinic. Check out the BCP area on the board for the types that people recommend.

You'll find that we're all different. We each have our own set of symptoms from the pile of possibilites and each of us respond to different treatments.
