Question Some Questions

Just curious...
Do most people have pretty constant symptoms, or can they suddenly worsen? Looking back I can see I probably had some, but they became a big problem after getting my tubes tied. Anyone think that getting tubes tied may affect symptoms and make them worsen?
I've just been diagnosed for about 2 months, and have been taking Yasmin. I have started getting headaches that last for a few days at a time. Could this be related to the pills? So far they haven't helped my acne or anything else, just regulated my period, which had been very irregular, and when it came lasted 2 weeks at a time.
Any advice? Should I keep trying new pills? My Dr doesn't want to use the other meds, just wants to use BCPs.

Thanks yall!

Just wondering if you were on BCPs before having your tubes tied? If so then coming off them or changing them could definitely cause a sudden change in symptoms.

Wasn't on BCP's between having kids. I did have trouble losing weight, but not the acne, fatigue, or really irregular periods. I just got slammed with symptoms about 3 months after my last child was born.

Actually having your tubes tied can cause endometreosis.
Then the endo can effect your hormones and then that triggers other symptoms to show up.

It was about 11 months after I had my tubal that all heck broke loose.Any form of surgery can cause adhesions. Then those adhesions can "grow endo, which in turn "bleed" and cause even more adhesions.

When all this attaches to your ovaries, it will interup the funtion of the ovaries. Whn the ovaries funtion changes, it causes other hormones to change to compensate. Then you are on the roller coaster! One thing turns to another and so on!

Sucks!

Most doctors are not very familar with the process.
I learned about it by living it.

If your symptoms worsen on Yasmin, you need to consider stopping them.

Estrogen FEEDs endometreosis.
Progestin FEEDS andeomyosis(form of edo that directly effects the uteris)

BCP/HRT can actually cause an endo flair.
Add the combination of Met/Gluc, it can really mess someone up with these conditions who is sensitive to the side effects of Gluc(muscle pain, anxiety, pelvic pain)

Had I known all this at the time, I may have been able to avoid a full hysterectomy.

So I would say your on the right track.
Be very watchful and if you develope anything new, let me know.

The endo was so bad it caused severe cyst bursting like pain.
Then the adhesions took over.
I went from being a spastic colon to cronic constipation over night.
So I never had the nasty poops with Gluc that most here do.
I enjoyed the Gluc because it kept things flowing.
But it over stimulated my ovaries. That with the BCP(yes even after having a tubal I was put on BCP)I didn't stand a chance.

Keep searching!
