Exclamation Somebody please help me!!

About a year or so ago I began with the following symptoms: bleeding between periods, cramping at any given time of the month, lower back pain, bloating, acne on jaw bone and neck, easily aggitated, and basically feeling

Went to the doctor and the doctor said...let's check your hormones and thyroids and let's do an ultrasound. They said my hormones were fine. I went for the ultrasound appointment where the tech said I had multiple cycsts on both ovaries and said it was because my body was making too much of a certain hormone.

I'm one of those people who never say what I should say at the time so that's why I'm here. I need advice.

I went to a different doctor recently, presenting the same problems as it takes away from the quality of my life. She retrieved my records from the previous doctor and said, your ultrasound suggests you have polycystic ovary syndrome, but they never did any labs to confirm that. So she had me come in for blood work. After a couple of weeks, I call to see what the labs said. And the doctor said, via the nurse, everything looks "normal." And the doctor said you could go on the pill for the cramps.

So I hang up the phone and close up my mouth and think. So the cysts on my ovaries are what? Normal? I really don't understand. Somebody please help me understand.

You need to request copies of the blood work results you've had done. From there tell us your numbers. And if there are any tests that weren't done, we can tell you what they are. I don't have cysts, and while they aren't exactly "normal" it's not really all that out of the ordinary to have them and I would think that something could be done, but I'm no expert :-)
So my advise is to get copies of all lab results that have been processed already and go from there. The pill might wind up being a good option for you but the pill could also mask things so you should definitely know all your levels before taking it.

Thanks to both of you for the imput. I will check out the newbie info and see about labs. I'm one of those that could walk into a doctor's office with my head in hands and they'd tell me I'm normal. That's why I didn't bother until just recently to see another doctor since I went over a year ago. But when have all that stuff going on, you think this can't be normal. You know, I really hope all this isn't "normal" because if it is...women in general must feel pretty stincky.

Oh well, I'm getting kind of use to it and so is my husband. I honestly believe that if I'd change my diet and exercise daily that it would cure most of it anyway. The problem is I'm a sugar addict and I'm not over weight so it's easy to rationalize. Everyday I wake up and say...this is the day...I'm going to kick it in.

How many of us have said that ...yep, tomorrow, I'm going to start tomorrow.
