Talking Something that actually WORKS !!!!!!

Hi Ladies.....

I have to share some awesome news....

Let me start by saying that I suffer from extreme hair loss...and I mean my hair was thick and hard to manage just 5 years ago, and now my hair is very thin and falling out daily. I suffer from anxiety attacks just watching my hair fall out. My scalp can be seen through my hair when not styled correctly and I am only 29 years old. I am not taking any meds. as I am trying to battle this PCOS thing with diet/exercise/and natural supplements.

Last week I received spam mail about this hair product that can END the appearance of hair loss. I felt compelled to open it, so I did and what I read was just too good be true...this product was in a shaker bottle that contains little keratin fibers (a substance in hair) that you sprinkle over the balding spots and instantly the spots disappear! I thought no way ....absolutely no way.....this trial size bottle was $2.95 ... nothing more to buy ever...I then thought heck, what do I have got to lose?

So I was directed to this website http://www.toppik.info/s-ennov21/lp/black/index.html?sts=1and I took the chance and order the trial size for $2.95 and picked the color and it got here 3 days later.....

And I can't believe it.....THIS PRODUCT WORKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It is so easy to use....no mess....no fuss....that is all I have to say.

This is a LIFE saver for me....if you suffer with hair loss you understand.

I just wanted to share.....

(((Hugs)))
~AprilLynn

Hey there there are loads of products like this Nanogen fibres, sprays etc I think they are great for general thinning .. but personally for my case I would rather be in a wig ... I have heard bad things about this stuff when you sweat or it rains .. and does it not rub off on your pillow at night ??????

Sorry just wanna know

It doesn't actually fix the underlying problem of hair loss, though, does it? It is simply a cosmetic product from what I understand from the ad.

Yes, it's cosmetic, and doesn't address the underlying problem. Toppik and Couvre, another similar product, are used by some people sucessfully to mask areas of thinning, because essentially, the little fibers attach to your existing hair near the scalp, and make the area right next to the scalp look like there is much more abundant hair there, and it also makes those individual hairs thicker. Some of the members of Wig Support and HerAlopecia have found these products helpful, and are really happy with the results. Depending on how bad your hair loss is, and what pattern you have, it can help disguise the problem.

Well, I don't have any bald or thin spots or anything, but my hair is falling out faster than I think it should be. I'm looking for something to stop it from doing that, rather than something to cover up a problem I don't really even have yet.

I was going to start a thread about this, but I see there already is one.
I have to say this product is fantastic, I have lots of bald spots (bigger than an old 50p) and bald lines and thin brittle hair sections, between the balding areas (these hairs go very brittle and then fall out) I found that the nanogen fibres fill in the bald spots but more than that the gave body to the brittle hairs and also give something for them to "sit on" which means my hair doesn't look so flat. Between washings I forget how desperate I am. When I wash and dry my hair without using it I feel terrible as I have A LOT of large holes in my hair. That is the best way to describe it really, with general thinning of the hair that is left. With the fibres in people have complimented me on my hair, I used to think people were being kind, but even my boyfriend thinks my hair has stopped falling out and grown back in.
I also used their shampoo along with a boots the chemist over the counter super strong dandruff shampoo ( like nixoral) I found this slowed the loss down dramatically (after about 4-5 months)but then I ran out and this week I have had terrible loss in the front and have not yet managed to bring myself to wash it and try with the fibres. Who knows, the shampoo could just have been a coincidence.
They really are good if your hair loss is suitable. They do not come out on your pillow, clothes or partners fingers! They don't run in the rain or blow out in the wind (probably need the fixing spray for this) They do look like black sand in the bottom of the shower when you wash your hair though!
Almost every celebrity you see on tv, or in a photoshoot will have them in thier hair!
I know they are not a cure ( I often wish they could put and antiandrogen in the fibres) but they are a damn good resouce for some people while they search for a cure.
I would be interested to hear from other women on their experiences with this product.

I used Toppik for about a year and it worked pretty good to cover my hairloss. I even happily posted about it here long ago. I still think it's a good idea. I don't think they have ever claimed that the fibres will regenerate hair. Yes, it's a cosmetic solution, but I was very, very grateful for it. I was desperate and needed something to hide this horrible hair loss. I think it really helped my self esteem. I would still be using it, but it gave me an idea to just pat on white talcum powder instead since my hair is pure white and that worked just as well for less money, although I realize that most of you don't have white hair!

But, since the Toppik comes in different colors, I have recommended it to others who have mild to moderate hair loss. Yes, it did come off a bit on my pillow and I would imagine rain and swimming wouldn't mix very well with it, but generally, I was quite pleased with it.

Thanks for posting this, AprilLynn. I think that the more options that we can have to make us feel better regarding hair loss the better!

Kathryn

I started Toppik during a really rough period where I was feeling low esteem wise and it really helped me through a rough patch. I still use it off and on and think it's a great product for women w/ thinning hair. It looks and feels totally natural. At the time I had been considering a wig or extensions and people told me I was crazy to think that--I wanted something fairly subtle and cheap and this worked great. Even though I had told people I was going to use something on my hair--no one noticed until I said something and they had to really look before they could see it! At first I was very reluctant to use anything cosmetic on my hair, but I began to think of it like make-up for the hair.

It does not rub off on my pillows (maybe slightly faint) but I have white pillowcases and dark brown hair. It does get my bathroom counter messy when I apply but that's an easy wipe down. It's been raining cats and dogs and the days I've worn it I've had no problem with it running off. In light rain it's not an issue, but with heavy rain I use an umbrella. When I've exercised with it on it has not sweated off--if anything the sweat made my hair look thicker. Of course, I have not attempted swimming--and wouldn't.

Just one word of warning--the colors tend to be darker than you think. I had dark reddish brown hair and the dark brown shade really was closer to black, but it still looked natural. I then dyed my hair black and it again, matched.

I totally recommend it too for any woman feeling down about her hair. I've worn my hair in the same style for several years to mask my hair loss (which is worse on one side of my head) and with this I have been able to wear my hair in different ways including a style I had stopped because it made my loss too apparent. I go without it on the days when I wear my "safe" style but on days when I want to experiment or look different, I couldn't do it without this.

Talking Toppik Works!

I have a lot of hair loss, shiny spots on top. I received Toppik in the mail today. I wore it all day today. My hair has not looked so good in years! I have long natually curly hair. Today was the first time I have worn it down in years. I looked in the mirror, from several positions, I cannot get over how natural the toppik looks.
I also received my Topper hair pieces in the mail. Next week I meet with a new Endocrinologist to discuss using Flutamide. One way or another, I will have hair, or at least look like I do.
