Smile Something that helped my hair loss

Almost 2 months ago I posted here that I was trying a new product for hair loss. It's called aminexil. It's made by L'oreal in Paris. and I had to buy it on the internet from Holland. I bought it because I have used Kerastase products for years, and I have found them to be of the finest quality.

Anyway, after nearly 2 months, I can say that the aminexil is definitely helping my hair. Where there were bald patches there are now wide parts, and where there were wide parts the parts are getting smaller. I should say that I did not have all-over hair thinning yet, only wide parts in the front crown part of my head and few definite balding spots on the forward crown, too. I also have new small hair growth on the front hair line. My hair always has grown fast.

What you do is this: for 6 weeks, twice a year, you rub the Aminexil on your head and massage it in for 30-40 seconds in each place. I did it at night. It was better on dry hair.

It will not spoil your hair style nor make it greasy, like rogaine. In fact, I do think it plumps up what hair is there, too, to give you more coverage at first, if you rub it in while it's dry. I was afraid at first that would be the only effect - that it was cosmetic - but that has not proven to be true. I am a chemically sensitive person and could not take rogaine, so I was worried I would have a response like that to Aminexil, but didn't. Then you do nothing until the 6 months is up and you do it again for 6 weeks.

The place I bought it from charged about $110. Therefore, it would be $220 per year, and you don't have to do it every day, which I like.

I did an extensive search on the internet. I found only one supported study for it. I was willing to try, though, based on my experience with Kerastase.

Anyway, I don't know if it would affect you all the same way, but it has helped me and I wanted to share that. The more options we know about the better able we are to find something that works from among them. Feel free to ask any questions here if you think it would help others or PM me.

I'm really pleased that you've had some success, thanks for sharing.

Could you post up the list of ingredients in this product, please?

Here are the ingredients (in French, I think, but we can still figure it out): Aqua, alchohol denat, diaminopyrimidine oxide, parfume. It says that the aminexil is the diaminopyrimidine oxide. I did a quick internet scan using that word this morning and found this site, too.

Who knows what will work for any one of us? I do think that US drug manufacturers can try to keep out foreign pharmaceuticals if they were competition. Let me know if any of you come upone anything else regarding this. I'd love to know what you find.

I bought mine at:

http://www.hairloss-hair.com/

It's in Holland. You can get it shipped for $11 for your whole order (I bought other shampoos and stuff too since I like them) or for like $35 or something you can have it in a few days.

Smile Thank you

Have slight thinning of hair round front and sides, and really getting my knickers in a twist about the whole thing. Thank you so much for your post as first really positive thing I have heard. You have given me something to try at least, and I really believe that believing things will be ok is half the battle.
Lots of love, and luck x
