Something other than met? Okay ladies, I've been trying to conceive #2 since 2002. I was diagnosed in October 2005 after a few miscarriages and was put on Metformin, max dose at 2000 mg. In July of 2006 I was tired of constantly being sick on it and stopped taking it. It had taken my cycles down to 19 days long sometimes and never got me to ovulate and never really did much than make me sick.
Now I've lost almost 30 pounds since then (following two injects cycles in Nov and Dec '07 and a New Year's Eve miscarriage) and thinking about going to see an OB around here about starting back on something. Is there anything similar to Met that is easier to handle???
Anyone with good experiences? I want to go see an OB, since the closest RE is now 2-3 hours away and I'm not ready to get back into injects quite yet. I have about 33 more pounds before I'm at my goal. Is there any point in going to see an OB? I wouldn't mind getting some bloodwork done again and possibly discuss if I might have endo also (which I'm not sure if I do, don't have all the symptoms or anything and they could all be PCOS instead), but really, what's the purpose? Why would I say that I'm going in? |
