Unhappy Sometimes....its so hard!

I don't know where to start....

I was diagnosed with PCOS a few years ago. Everything just spun out of control. My weight, acne, facial hair, and mood went crazy. I could not take it anymore so I went to see my PCP and she gave me Metformin. Long story short it gave me horrible side effects so I went to see an Endro. she gave me Metformin ER i am starting my 4th week and everything is getting better. I have lost a few pounds, acne is better and I feel great!

EXCEPT!

I still have not had a period. I know I might regret saying this... but I JUST WANT A PERIOD! (lol). I have not had one since Feb. It just makes me sad. My husband and I really want kids....It's just hard to wait...I'm getting a bit impatient. I want to be a mom...everywhere I go.. I see babies! EVERYWHERE!

Any words of advice?

it took my husband and I a little over a year to conceive our son. One day while I was at work i just suddenly felt diffrent. After work I came straight home and took a pregnacy test and sure enough our miracle child was well on his way. Patience is the key but can be a hard one to hold onto. Make plans living life normally ( or as normal as a PCOS women can make it) and then before you know it it will happen for you and your husband. I think that the thing that wokred for us though was my doctor put me on straight birthcontrol for six months then had me take three months of the Metformen, birth control including the sugar pills there after. I amazingly started having regular periods again. It seemed to give my body a break and really helped. I will continue to pray for you and all of the other cysters.

MandaMarie, I was in your shoes a couple of weeks ago.

My last visit from Aunt Flo was in the winter. Last month I had been spotting on and off for the whole month but no real visit from AF. I went to my GYN who prescribed Provera 10mg (1 a day for 10 days) and 5 days after taking my last Provera pill AF came for a visit. She's been here 5 days already, I'm ready to kill her! I'll send her your way if you'd like!!!

Anyway, Doctor can give you Provera to get AF and Clomid to ovulate if you don't ovulate.
