I was wondering what songs remind you of your angel? I made a cd for Dylan and me that I listen to non-stop. I like to think it helps sooth my aching heart.
What Hurts the Most - Rascal Flatts
One Sweet Day - Mariah Carey
I would Die for That - Kellie Coffey
One More Day - Diamond Rio
God Only Cries - Diamond Rio
Jesus Take the Wheel
Precious Child - Karen Taylor-Good
Who You'd Be Today - Kenny Chesney
Stand - Rascal Flatts
I love you Dylan and I miss you so much. I'll see you one day baby.

Sarah McLachlan - In the arms of an angel (from the movie City of Angels)
We looked for a song to play at the girls funeral, but decided against having anything other than incidental music as neither DH or I wanted to be listening to the radio and suddenly hear something that took us back to that time and place, but I do like this song it reminds me of them, the joy I felt carrying them, and how much I miss them

Hopefulcycter - If you like the song Stand, I suggest you listen to I would Die for That - Kellie Coffey. That song is full of hope and makes me cry eveytime.

Mine is Held as well. I heard it for the first time right after my miscarriage. It still makes me cry two years later and brings all those memories flooding back.
Mine is Glory Baby by Watermark. Someone sent it to me after my miscarriage last year, and it can be heard on Myspace music if you search for it. Here are the lyrics:
Glory baby you slipped away as fast as we could say baby…baby..
You were growing, what happened dear?
You disappeared on us baby…baby..
Heaven will hold you before we do
Heaven will keep you safe until we’re home with you…
Until we’re home with you… Miss you everyday
Miss you in every way
But we know there’s a
day when we will hold you
We will hold you
You’ll kiss our tears away
When we’re home to stay
Can’t wait for the day when we will see you
We will see you
But baby let sweet Jesus hold you
‘till mom and dad can hold you…
You’ll just have heaven before we do
You’ll just have heaven before we do Sweet little babies, it’s hard to
understand it ‘cause we’re hurting
We are hurting
But there is healing
And we know we’re stronger people through the growing
And in knowing-
That all things work together for our good
And God works His purposes just like He said He would…
Just like He said He would… BRIDGE:
I can’t imagine heaven’s lullabies
and what they must sound like
But I will rest in knowing, heaven is your home
And it’s all you’ll ever know…all you’ll ever know…
For me...its Last One Standing by Emerson Drive....i actually heard the song for the first time driving into town and had to pull over on the side of the road bawling my eyes out...it made me forgive God for taking my girls. and then went on to meet the band singing it at my local fair once - they signed a cd for me and knew all about my girls. They were great.
Last One Standing
Queen of the night
Life of the party
It's all an illusion
You can't hide that big of heartache
So stop the delusion
Waitin' for someone's rescue
My arms are right here for you
Chorus:
Through the wind and the rain
Through the laughter and pain
Count on me
And when life isn't fair
And there's nobody there, I will be
In a world of pretenders
I am your defender
(I'll never surrender)
And when it all comes down
(Yeah, when it all comes down)
I'll be the last one standing
This is for life
Don't ever doubt it
I've already fallin'
Love is alive
So stand up and shout it
Cause destiny's calling
The others who stand behind me
They don't look nothing like me
(Repeat Chorus)
Waitin' for someone's rescue
My arms are right here for you
(Repeat Chorus)

I hava a lot of weird songs that remind me of Eric. Really, they don't even have anything to do with losing a baby. Soul Meets Body, by Death Cab for Cutie, for sure. It was playing on the radio when we were driving home from the hospital. Christmas Canon, by the Trans Siberian Orchestra does too. And Spark, by Tori Amos. I have a whole list on my Myspace page that remind me of him. Some of them don't make sense to other people, but I love them anyway.
I haven't heard some of the other songs. I do have Tears in Heaven on my list though.

Reason: Forgot to turn off my siggy
More of a mopey break up song than a m/c song, but I am old school and use CDs in a discman when I work out at the gym, and "disintigration" was my CD of choice at the time of my first miscarriage. (I tend to use the same CD for a few weeks) Something about the lyrics just hit me one day and I nearly started bawling on the eliptical.
What really got me, I think, is I didn't even HAVE a picture. I didn't learn until after this experience that when it looks bad, they don't give you a picture. So when I went in for my first scan, it was just an empty sac, and even though the ob said it was "probably too early" and we would see something in a few weeks - they don't give you a picture if they think it will turn out bad. I don't understand why. It doesn't make it any easier. So when I went back in a few weeks hoping to see something more - there was still nothing to be seen.
Well at any rate I learned that how optimistic the doctor REALLY feels can be judged on wether or not you get an ultrasound picture to keep!

"We've tried to wash our hands of all of this
We never talk of our lacking relationships
And how we're guilt-stricken, sobbing, with our heads on the floor
We fell through the ice when we tried not to slip..."
- the verve pipe
