I have finally talked my folks into getting another dog Our pooch who was 19 when she died in 2005 has left a MAJOR gap in our lives so we're soo looking for another wee pooch to bring the same kind of happiness!

Ive made them promise that we get our new family member from a rescue centre as Id rather give a dog who needs a home rather than a dog who was breeded because hte owners wanted to make some money!


So far we've found one, who is adorable, hopefulyl be going to see her sometime this week then get the ball rolling!

Don’t you just love it when your about to get a new pet !! I am trying to persuade DH to have another cat but so far he is not having any of it !! hopefully I will wear him down before too long !!! ha ha ha

You will have to keep us updated on the new addition to your family !!

Congrats on the new dog!

I went for almost 5 years w/o a dog, and it was a period of my worst depression. I wouldn't go out, and I felt like I had no joy in my life. I went to a shelter and got my dog in 1999, and I couldn't live without him now. He gets me out for fresh air and exercise and he loves me no matter how I look or act or feel.

I'm really happy that you were able to talk them into another one. It's like losing one of your family when a dog dies, and it's impossible to fill the void without a new one.
