It is so so so hot here today... well over 31 degrees. It is past 9.30pm and I am still sweating. And I am not much of a sweater. I am very thankful that this baby will be born before the start of summer... and I have a new found respect for anyone that has been pg during summer...
I am def looking into getting air con. Despite the fact that we can't really afford it and the grumble bums on our strata committee won't approve it... memories of the last 3 summers are coming back... we get the afternoon sun (everywhere but the room that will be bubs) and it is ridiculously hot.
Anyway, just thought I would share my grumblings (I have the flu and I am feeling sorry for myself... somebody slap me!)
Yep, very steamy yesterday - My car displays the outside temp on the dash, and it got up to 34 degrees! Its always a few degrees hotter in the west though. (We live out at Kellyville) But we got to have a swim at Mum's, and the kids had a great time.
Lucky for you, bubs is due before the real summer starts! I was pregnant though last summer and it was very yucky! We at least have air con though, so if I went out I just ended up going from the house to the car to the shops!
Its a bit cooler today too, so that should be a relief for you!!

Oh, I hear ya Brooke!!!! It was soooo hot here yesterday and it feels like it's going to be the same today. Lach and I have started using the pool again already!!! It usually takes me until the end of Oct. to brave it!!
We didn't get winter? Are you insane? I froze my butt off this year!! Pregnant and all, apart from the feet swelling from the heat, I'm enjoying it so far!!! (I'm sure I won't be for long though...) Let's see how I go towards the end of the week when they're predicting 35 deg.
Brooke - with DD I was pregnant right through summer (born March) and I have to say I was the biggest whinger around that year. I didn't cope with it too well... my blood pressure kept dropping from the heat and it was AWFUL! Bummer you not having an air conditioner. That was my main stipulation with DD - MUST have air con before the end of October.

DD (7) - conceived via IVF (FET) after 2 years of infertility treatment
DS (3) - conceived after 2 years of natural therapies
So we're coming over on Saturday for a swim then Amy??!!! (or maybe Thursday or Friday and we'll just camp in your pool for a few days!! ).
You are more than welcome to come over Deb !! Lach and I had our first swim in the pool on Sunday. The water was very chilly - but I reckon by Sunday it will be A LOT warmer.
I've got that 'lovely' family reunion on Saturday (I'm going after the SC lunch).......I'm so looking forward to standing around in the 37 degree heat talking to dh's mothers relatives - NOT!!!
Deb - you call that winter?? I think I only wore a jacket to work three days the whole season!! I felt so ripped off that I didn't get to wear my suede coat ONCE - yet last year I had it on for several months.
Right, then it's a done deal. Lunch at Garden City on Saturday, and around to Amy's for a swim!!
i can beat the lot of ya lol! u know on the weather map where u see that temperature smack bang in the middle of nowhere, well thats where i live, alice springs! and it is soooooo hot! we've been getting up to 40 degrees here lately, usually around the late thirities, and in real summer it can get as high as 45 degrees! its absolutely awful! my mum was pregnant with me during summer here and now everytime she sees a pregnant woman in summer she says to me oh that poor woman. you pregnant cysters would feel the heat more aswell cause of all that extra blood rushing round your body when your pregnant makes u warmer. my advice to u all is get a really good aircon (it will be worth its weight in gold!) and go swimming lots.
It wasn't that hot today - they said 36C but while it was a warm one, it was nowhere near as uncomfortable as I thought it would be. Though sitting for three hours in an air-conditioned restaurant gasbagging with the Brissie cysters helped!!
