I know how you feel. I can have a good nights sleep and wake up feeling just as tired as when I went to sleep. I have not found anything to help with the tiredness but hopefully someone else will have more information.

I used to feel that way also...the doctor's couldn't give me any explanation except they kept testing me over and over again for thyroid. But what has helped me so far is that I try to go to bed at the same night at 10 and sleep until about 8 if possible. I was reading on the internet that if you start to go to bed by 10 at 11 you should be asleep and your stress hormones won't kick in again. If your stress hormones don't kick in your body starts to make more progesterone..something a lot of PCOSer's take. Here is another article and how sleep and diabetes and endrocrine disorders interferes:

http://www.pslgroup.com/dg/13d2f2.htm

When i started going to bed at 10 i started feeling a little better.

I know how you feel also i sleep alot too. I can sometimes sleep for about 13 hours straight wake up and still feel overly tired.
Then some days i will not sleep at all and can be up all night and not feel tired.
I find i sleep more nearer my period , and feel drained and heavy and bloated.

Hey have you asked your drs about sleep apnea or other sleep disrupters?? Do you snore or have a lot of nightmares?? sleep walking?? I had sleep apnea for 10 years before my new dr figured it out. I was always told my fatige came from my depression & that if my depression improved so would my tiredness!! It wasn't till I had a bad cold & had a major apnea episode that I talked to my dr about it, she set up a test for the same night & I had my Rx for the CPAP machine within 3 days. Good luck & I hope you start sleeping better!!

Default Add vitamins

Try adding B vitamins to your day. It's a great booster for energy. I also try and get up and move around when I feel blah. It get's me going a little more. I have the same thing with my MEt. The thing that is hard is you have to pass that point. it took some time for me, but I think keeping my mind occupied kept me from being too sleepy.

Try Relacore. I know it's supposed to be a "weight loss" drug, but believe me, it will make a difference in the way you feel! It's cram packed with tons of B vitamins. I used to be the sam way..tired alllll the time. I started taking that and I felt soooo much better. You can get it at Wal Mart now, that's where I get mine! Good luck and hope you feel better soon!

I know this is an old post, but does anyone know if Relacore has negative effects on PCOS symptoms? I was going to buy some today and read that some side effects are excess facial hair, acne, hair loss, and increased estrogen (of I recall correctly). So I take spiro to FIX these things and when I take BCP's the increased estrogen gives me migraines so I'm wondering if Relacore might be bad for me to take. I do have a lot of trouble with stress though and it sounds like it could help.

have u had your iron levels checked? you could be anaemic - that could be a reason that you feel tired all the time - maybe worth speaking to your doc and getting them checked.
also doing exercise gives me more energy, and helps me sleep better - try going for a brisk walk - the best time to help you get reastful sleep is about 4 in the afternoon - but anytime is better than nothing!
hope that helps
