Hmmm, hard to say. I get sore breasts as part of PMS. I thought the signs of ovulation were a twitch or slight/intense pain in the ovaries as the egg is released.
Anyone else?

My breast start hurting about 14 days before AF...I always that they hurt because of the progesterone after you O.

Hmmm.. just got AF for the first time in a year, and I knew it was coming because my breasts were VERY sore the week prior. I'm sure there are other causes, but in my case it did mean ovulation.

Ok what is AF. I have sore breast during ovulation- and when I bump them on something.
How do you know if you are still ovulating or just going thru the motions. I have a lot of breakthrough bleeding some months, but others no sign of much at all other than the actual cycle.
hi, no it doesn't. I get tender but don't ovulate. That is why I am being treated for PCOS. I haven't ovulated in over a year. You just get the tender breasts because of hormone changes and water weight gain, your breasts can also swell up to one cup size during AF. I hope this helps, but if they are swollen at least you know AF is coming, and that is a good thing. YAY!!!!
Just because you get AF a week after having sore breasts doesn't mean you ovulated. Sorry...I know, that was my hope too, but it's simply not true. You can have AF every single month, every 28 days, and still not ovulate.
