Hi there!

I seem to have a sore scalp every once in a while, too, but like you, I can't seem to pinpoint any reason for it.

I even go so far as to say my 'hair hurts'. I don't have any clue, but wouldn't mind input from some other cysters.

I have a fair amount of hair, and apply quite a bit of product (hair spray, mousse, etc) to it each week. I wonder if this has anything to do with it?

My scalp and whole body in general is like this.

I have talk to several Dr's and mostly I get a shrug from them.

The Dr that DX my IR said it has to do with being IR.
For me, it started many years before the blood work showed IR.

I finally cut my hair one year ago. I took 15 1/2 inches off.
That helped some. At least I didn't get it caught in doors and stuff anymore.

LOL i don't know why but that made me laugh out loud. My hair is very "big" not very long, (little past shoulders) but it is very curly, and when i'm driving in the car and roll up the window, my hair always gets caught in the window. it sucks.

anyway, my scalp hurts sometimes too. I always thought it was from wearing my hair up in a ponytail while sleeping, it pulls funny sometimes, but i don't know. hmmm, interesting.........

OMG !

Are you looking at me???!!!

My hair is 'big'.....and a little past my shoulders and very curly (a perm, though, not natural).

Also, I wear my hair up in a ponytail while sleeping. I find if I don't it pulls all the curl out of it and it pulls when I'm trying to sleep.

So, maybe there's something to big haired girls with curley hair who wear it up in a ponytail when they go to bed???

Spooky......

My hair hurts too LOL

I have long curly hair, but i dont sleep with a ponytail to bed...although i do usually put my hair up in a pony tail when im at home cleaning, etc...

Supposedly I am borderline I.R. but my symptoms tell me different.

So, maybe there is something to this.....maybe it's a symptom for some of us???

(Whether you have big, curly hair, or not)

Default LOL at this thread.

this is the funniest thread I've ever read on this site, but , Guess what , I too have big curly hair and yes , sometimes I wear it in a pony tail at night , sometimes it hurts so bad that I think when I next wash it , its all goin to break and crack and fall out .

my hair gets sucked out the window when Im driving too.
my sisters hair got caught under my arm pit one day in a shop ( dont ask me how) my own hair gets caught in other peoples coat buttons , you know when your squeezing through a crowded pub.
