Sorry I've been MIA lately. We got our puppy on Sunday and along with the hurricane and things, I've been soooooo busy!

Congrats on the new puppy, and since you posted a quick note, I am assuming that all is alright with the hurricane and you are safe.

Awww thanks for all the sweet replies girls....HUGZ!

We have an 8 week old Yellow Lab named Gus. He is such a doll baby! The first few days it was just like having a baby cause all he did was sleep. NOW...he's ALL PUPPY LOL!

Right now he's in his cage in the office with me so that I can get some time on the pc.

I have to admit though, it's so nice to have a baby in the house even if it is a puppy.
I'll post pics soon!

Welcome to your new home Gus!! Let me tell you a few things you're going to need to know....

First of all, get that "puppy dog look" down pat. It will come in handy when you've done something naughty.

Enjoy as many Frosty Paws as you can. (Mom says it's dog ice cream...I say it's heaven in a dixie cup!!!)

Spend lots of time outside chasing balls, frisbees, butterflies, and playing keep away with anything that remotely looks like mama doesn't want you to have.

Moms love to cuddle and if you cuddle up to them it can get you out of all sorts of trouble.

Because we labs love to swim remember, when swimming, take time to go under water and find some really cool rocks.

And, shake off the water nearest to the person dressed up in the nicest people clothes.

People food is yummier than the nasty dry crap the humans like to give us. This is where the puppy dog eyes come into play.

The couch is the best seat in the house.

Take time to hang your head out of the car window and get slobbery drool all over your mom's car. She loves that. (But if you mom is going fast keep your head in....bugs at 50mph really hurt!!)

Try to make some room for the humans on the big soft bed in what they call the "bedroom". I call it my room, but, silly humans, what do they know.

And finally, love your new family as much as they love you. Protect them from all evil things like cats, skunks, squirrells, and anything else that might come into your yard. Don't hurt the intruders, just chase 'em away!!

Enjoy your new life with a family that loves you.

Awwww Sillie! That is the cutest letter ever! It was so cute it actually made me teary-eyed. Thanks hun!!

Oh yeah and thanks Orrie!

Yes, Gus is learning that his cuteness allowes him to get away with everything LOL! He's actually been REALLY well behaved and so smart! He's so much like Rocky our Black Lab.

After we've had such a great experience with Rocky, we are most deffinately lab lovers!

My first dog was a yellow lab, Goldie. She was beautiful and so smart, we had her for 17 years. Then we got a chocolate lab, Flash, he is the cutest thing!!! Then I got married and hubby only likes small dogs so we got a pug....He is my little man!!!

i had a yellow lab a few yrs ago he was the best dog ive ever had!! his anme was FUBU lol i name my cats and dogs some silly names lol FUBU for the brand of clothes that use to be popular lol... then my cat baby,izzy,oscar,diamond,angel,shroomer (lol), sisqo, but my alltime fav cat of all times!! my baby right now Trey Rashawd Johns lol
i hope ur baby makes you smile when u cry and
