So today was a good day:

20min Taebo
25min Shred
27min Hips Buns & Thighs
43min Hip Hop Abs Fat Burning Cardio Level 2
10min AM Yoga (short simple easy)
20min Yoga Zen in your Den

2 hours and 25 minutes! yay!

So i've done like 10min of yoga my entire life so i dont know if i'm such a good critic on these videos but the yoga zen was what i imagine yoga to be and i lightly sweated and had my heart rate up. But i definately know i need to do more yoga simply based on my performance tonight! hahaha alright night.

Yesterday was my second day off. Wasn't planning to, but a friend of mine was moving and I helped her unpack and get settled in. Got home late and I was too tired to do anything.
Todays a.m. workout:
40 mins turbo sculpt
10 mins a.m. yoga

I would probably like mountain climber week better because of all the stairs I will be climbing to go down slides! I actually like push ups now. I am feeling stronger everytime I do them. Sheldon is bringing his DVD player so I will stick some exercise ones in my bag and do them while they play mini golf. I hate golf but Adam loves it.

I can't wait to go. We went to Great Wolf Lodge in March and that was so much fun. This is about 3-4x bigger. You have so much fun that you don't worry about what you look like in a bathing suit!

Busy day at work today. Can't wait till 5 pm.

Did a session with my PT today.
I wish I could train like that on my own but I always seem to push harder and do more with a PT

I wish I could convince my body that it needs less than 8 hours per night, but this week it's been impossible! So, no morning spin for me today.
I'll still get my hour though...I have an appointment with my trainer tonight (it's back day!) and will do about 45 minutes of cardio around that.
Then tonight I am cleaning a friend's apartment...she's already moved and I promised to do the last cleaning as a favor to her. (She is a very clean person so it shouldn't be too bad at all!) I think I'll bring my yoga mat and some music and take advantage of the awesome empty space to do a little yoga.
I know most of y'all are counting down till the end of yoga week, but I seriously love it and will probably keep it up even after it's over. For me the key is incorporating different kinds of poses: standing balance, strength (like side plank and chataranga, which is kind of like a push up,) back bends, seated folds...I probably would get bored otherwise, but I find that it is quite challenging and requires a lot of attention.
My kids are away from me taking tests today, so I'll be around and checking in.

Ooooh, push-up and planks week!!! I'm actually looking forward to that. I was telling my dh last night that planks and push-ups were such a good measure of progress for me. Easy to see the change in time held, or number I can do.

Morning workout is done. Will be back to log in after my pm workout.

Today's workout:

:75 Yoga Journal's Yoga for Beginners
=================================
1:15 Total

Boy was this DVD boring! Patricia Walden gives great instruction, but she talks soooooooooo much. I'm pretty sure all the poses could have easily been accomplished in less than 1/2 the time. I won't be doing this one again. Back to the library it goes.

A lot of people find her boring...

I've been feeling 'blah' this week, so I did 'low thought' workouts:

- 3 Mile Power walk
- Crunch: Super SlimDown Pilates Yoga Blend

The Crunch video wasn't as 'boring' as it was hard. Many of the moves required a lot of core strength. I liked the planks, in the video, but after this week, I'll probably never do it again.

Tomorrow, I'm going to try one of these:

Yoga For Wimps
Denise's Power Zone: Mind, Body & Soul
Minna Lessig's Balanced Blend

I got my workouts in today!
I did 60 minutes on the elliptical, 30 minutes of back work with my trainer and 30 minutes of yoga on my own. (The yoga was a first for me...I usually have someone else instructing, but I followed the basic flow of classes I have done and it worked really well.)
Off to bed...

Tori
