Soulcysters.net Sock-puppet policy?

Hi there Kat,

A thread was created and closed on sock-puppet policy for SoulCysters.net..Pls click here. It was brought up by another cyster...however I did not find another thread answering this so I thought I would ask here again.

Do we have a policy at Soulcysters.net for "sock-puppets"...that is the same exact person using more than one handle?

It is rather hard to enforce unless you check IP addresses and know you have limited bandwidth resources.

I just though thought I would check if there is a policy. I would think it might be against the policy here since it does create confusion and it mostly seems to be done around here to get around being kicked off the boards.

Just wanted to say more clearly, I know you are extremely busy Kat and that it may not be something that can be enforced (stopping sock-puppets/double logon handles).

And I appreciate the boards and all the hard work you do to keep them.

It can't be enforced.

If it comes to my attention, people caught posting under multiple names will have the 'other names' deleted, but I'd really don't want to open the flood gates for people to pm me 'suspecting' that someone has a duplicate name. I'm already swamped with pm's for stuff like that. If someone is causing problems THEN it should be reported.

Sometimes it's necessary for people to re-register (especially AOL users - since sometimes AOL'ers get 'mysteriously banned', and they have to re-register to let me know.)

i had to register under a new name because i was somehow minus points and i couldnt login. so i gave myself the mininum points i needed to fix it.
