Question Soy help PLEASE! Don't want cycle to be cancelled.

Hi ladies. I'm on CD 13, and took 50mg of clomid this cycle. Today the Ultrasound only showed 8mm follies. I go back Wed to check again and if there's no growth, this cycle will be a loss. I have awesome 8.5 lining right now. I've read in the past about some ladies taking soy mid cycle to help, what do you think? I took soy before when I was first dx with PCOS and first month of Met and that was the only cycle I ovulated...but that was at the begining of the cycle. Just trying to figure out a way not to lose this cycle. TIA!

Hi! I'm sorry I don't have any help for you TechGrl but I am also interested in learning more about soy if anyone knows more about it. I tried doing some internet searching but I can only read bad things about it. I came across a dietian's page who specializes in pcos and she even said she doesn't recommend it for people with fertility problems. But a ton of people on this forum take it so I has to do something right? What exactly does it do? Does the estrogen cause ovulation? I thought pcos'ers had too much estrogen? Why take more? I guess I'm just confused about it...

Also, does soy milk have enough soy in it to be of benefit or do you have to take the pills? How many glasses of soy are equivalent to the pills?

This is my first month trying Soy so I don't have any first hand advice. I dont' think you can get enough drinking milk though. I am taking 65mg Soy Isoflavones on CD 5-9. I bought the pill form at Rite Aid.

Soy could help you but maybe not as quick as you would like it too for this cycle.
It cant hurt and even if you O later its better than never. I think most cysters that do a soy/clomid combo will take maybe clomid for example CD 1-5 and then soy 6-10
something like that.
Good luck to you..hope your follies grow more so this cyle wont be cancelled!
