Default Soy late in cycle to O?

I'm not TTC yet, but I am trying to O. I'd like to make my body O on its own before I start TTC so I can suggest to the dr maybe not using Clomid for the first IUI. It's a harder battle for me b/c I have to use donor sperm so it's not like I can try a bunch of times to maybe catch the egg when it pops out - I have one or two chances per month.

The soy threads say to take it CD 5-9 or something like that, but also mentioned that it's sometimes successful to induce ovulation late into a long cycle so I thought I'd try it. Since the soy thread said when using soy to replace clomid, take it for five days, I took 80 mg March 14th, 15th, 16th, and 17th and then stopped (I meant to take it a fifth day, but forgot when I had started taking it so I counted wrong). For anyone who has tried this, was taking it for a few days and then stopping still the right approach at this point in the cycle? If I don't O before AF (whenever she comes...) should I declare this dosage of soy not enough for me and up it next month?

TIA.

I don't know if this will help you, but I usually have really long cycles and the last two I have taken Soy(80mg) for only 2 days later ( around cd 10 or so) in my cycle and Oed about 5-6 days later. I was doing this just to experiment to see how my body would respond to soy. So far so good! GOOD Luck to you!!!
