Default Soy Question

Hi! I plan on using soy when I finally get off these darn bcp's!! And the one's I bought are soy isoflavones with novasoy 50mg capsules. Is this okay to use?? Or should I go somewhere else to find just soy isoflavones?? Thank you!

I'm not recommending any particular brand, but I have used Soy Isoflavone Concentrate from GNC for the past 7 months and have ovulated every month. It doesn't have anything else in it but soy isoflavones. What else does yours have in it? Some cysters on the soy thread have used other brands with combos of other herbs in it and have had ovulatory success as well. It's up to you.

It's called Soy Isoflavones with Novasoy standardized 50mg. It also contains Maltodextrin, Calcium, Silicate, Magnesium Stearate, Silicone Dioxide, Gelatin and Water. It's the LIFE brand from Shoppers Drug Mart here in Canada. We do have a GNC.... should I perhaps get that one instead?? I've not opened this bottle so I can still take it back. I've been waiting since April (when I had my lap and an 81 day cycle) to get on with ttc and I don't want to "waste" my time on something that won't really do the trick. Thanx.

I read on your signature that you plan on a soy/clomid combo. I'm going to start soy myself tomorrow, but from what I've heard on the boards, no one recommends using them together. Check out the soy posts on the TTC thread. There are a lot of ladies that are near experts over there. Good luck.

Hi Elisha! Thank you for your response. There is actually a thread on the ttc board that women are doing soy and clomid in the same cycle. One is doing it under dr's recommendations. Apparently the soy can help with cm and to ovulate earlier. I'm to take my clomid days 5-9 so I will take soy days 1-5. Figured it's worth a try. It's worked as there are two bfp's on that thread.
