hi! I'm young and I'm new here to the site. I was diagnosed with PCOS when I turned 17, I'm now 20, and have been struggling with ridiculous weight fluctuations since. Recently, I took a nutrition course and decided to take my stab at vegetarianism. I ate lots of soy. Soy beans, soy nuts, and alternatives with soy protein like tofu, tempah, seitan, soy sauce ect..

After thinking I was eating extremely healthy, I all of the sudden gained 20lbs in about a matter of 2 weeks.

I went to my doctor and he told me the problem was the soy- it contains a form of estrogens- which caused my already exceedingly high levels to go even HIGHER causing weight gain.

This might be an old issue- but I just thought I would let everyone know to beware of foods that contain soy!
