I don't take the spacer pills that come with the BCP I use (green pills with Orthotricyclen), the ones that you are supposed to take the week of your period. Sometimes I want to skip my period and just immediately start a new pack or if I allow a period I just dont take the spacers. One less pill to worry about each day for a week. I think I only took them the first pack many years ago and havent bothered since. From what I understand they are just a placebo pill to allow you to start your period. Now I wonder if there are any hormonal benefits to taking the spacer pills? Has anyone been told that the spacer pills provide something effective to reduce PCOS symptoms? Should I take them or can I just continue not bothering? Thanks.

Those are just placebo pills. If you are taking the green pills right after eacher to not have af, consider that you need to have af atleast 3 times a year to lower your chances of cancer.
