Im not much of a tea drinker so I went inside my kitchen cabinet and saw some Spearmint tea leaves. After I drank this minty tea.. I actually felt somewhat better. So the next day I did research and this is what i found http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Spearmint
"Recent research has shown that Spearmint tea may be used as a treatment for mild hirsutism in women. Its anti-androgenic properties reduce the level of free testosterone in the blood, while leaving total testosterone and DHEA unaffected."
I dont know how much of that is true, but just in case from time to time I drink Spearmint tea. |

Also wikipedia is not always true...people can leave their own version of things...so I would always find another source to back things up.
sounds good though, I know there is another thread on here that says the same thing about the spearamint tea and I can no longer drink my green tea - depletes me of iodine which I have to supplement for- so I have been drinking spearamint tea as an afternoon treat...with stevia.
hth,

The thickness of my facial hair has rapidly decreased. I try and drink a cup or two before I go to bed. Also the smell of the spearmint tea makes me relaxed. I told my Mom about this since she is post menopause and it is helping her with her mustache! LOL! Hope this works for you!

My GP told me about the spearment tea study.
You only need to drink 2 cups of spearment tea per day, for five days during the first half of your cycle. You don't need to drink it every day.
I just wanted to mention that, as I've seen so many posts about this study but this part seems to get left out.
Best wishes,
Kate. |

Do any UK cysters know where I can get pure spearmint as I'd like to give it a go.

Points: 250.51 Bank: 0.00 Total Points: 250.51 | Hi there,
You can get spearmint tea from Neals Yard http://shop.nealsyardremedies.com/in...=2134&brandID=
It comes loose though!
There are many neals yard shops around the UK but I'd phone up before going as not all of them stock spearmint.
I've been drinking it for 1 month (2 tsps twice a day) I think I'm seeing some baby hairs on my knees but early days... might just be my imagination!
If you try it let me know how you get on... |
